they stole my friends prescribed medication and destroyed my other friends monitor with a screwdriver that they then left with our belongings. they then lied repeatedly and mocked us when we complained and also disobeyed DHS orders

My girlfriends nephew David was on medical leave from the Denison Iowa location. and when he sent them a doctors note which says he’s able to return and may 24th they gave him the runaround and told him the doctors note was not good enough This place is very wishy washy and has no idea what they’re doing. Very poor at doing buisness and worse with communication.

I haven't been there for 10 years mind you. But I remember I hated it. Some of the staff isn't great (10 years ago lol) but it gave a ton of value. Taught responsibility and all that jazz. It gave me hope, and it gave me friendships for a lifetime. Plus my high school diploma which doesn't hurt. Life isn't always great, but this place helps make it better for sure.

Well I went back in 2002-2004 and was a great experience changed my life for the better made a man real quick and was on my own pretty much and my trade Culinary Arts I love to cook now and I also played basketball for them I had fun being a Panther for them went places and everything and I made alot of friends! And I wouldn't know where I be without going there and I got my GED also from them and a Cooking Degree thank you so much Job Corps for finishing school and doing what I love is cooking!! also for having me and giving me a opportunity that bettered my life!!

So far I've been here for almost a year. The place is great overall. You get to meet people from all over the place. The only problem is that I was under the impression that it was going to be like a college setting. The only thing that college and denision job corps have is that you share a room with someone and you eat pizza and ramen a lot. The rules her are the opposite of what they are trying to teach you. But the training here is worth it. You will get experience and feel confident about what trade your doing. Overall this place has its ups and downs but so does every place.
