You can't say much cos it's the perfect DJ school. Great instructors, they are ready to work with you on a flexible schedule. I had a great experience. If you are in the Mid-West and wanting to become a DJ, Deckademics is your best and only choice.

Can't say enough about these guys. They are excellent teachers and very patient. They even put up with a bunch of nonsense from a old guy like me. They can work with everyone. Most of the time there is another student that's about 40 years younger than I am getting lessons at the same time.

If you have any interest in a hobby or becoming a working DJ, there is no debate. Coming here will be the best decision you can make.

Additionally, they have a great selection of gear to get you going. No need to buy from big online sellers. You cant beat being able to touch and use equipment and then buying it from a local business.

I started my sound production journey at Deckademics DJ School. Then I was accepted to Music Technology major at IUPUI! I'm very grateful to Sean, who was my instructor at Deckademics. I also took a DJ course, it was an awesome experience, and I plan to continue DJ classes. The best school and staff! Strongly recommend 🙌

I’ve been a student here since January and already my knowledge and skills have improved. If you come here be prepared to be patient with yourself, it’s not something you master quickly or overnight but all the instructors are friendly, professional and most importantly very talented. I travel from Lexington weekly to attend this school and I love it.

Indy is so lucky to have a place like Deckademics! I took the Ableton production class and I learned so much. I highly recommend this business if you or someone you know wants to learn how to produce/DJ or learn more or new skills. Staples or the community teaching their trade to anyone that wants to learn - yes please!

Great for thoses beginning their journey or folks who looking to sharpen their skills. They offer a EXCELLENT weekend warrior. Try it. You will not be sorry. They work well with kiddos and don't pigeon hole them into a certain genre of music. (Bonus!)
The only negatives are: that they are limited in the amount of people that can enroll in one course and physical space. (Which I wouldn't want a bunch of people around anyway). And the website could be more user friendly.

I have been a Deckademics student for over a year now and couldn't be more happy with my experience. They have done so much more than just teach me how to DJ. Now that it is a store as well, it is a one stop shop for anyone looking to learn, buy gear, or network.
