I danced with DABH from kindergarten to graduating high school and it was a genuinely life changing experience. I was not only very well trained in all different forms of dance and have gone on to dance professionally but also learned amazing life lessons along the way. My teachers were caring and thoughtful role models who instilled confidence and an appreciation for self expression. They supported me as I grew and provided a loving environment for me to be creative and explore my love of dance. I made lifelong friends and grew as an artist and person. I can’t imagine my life without DABH and will be forever grateful for everything I learned!

My daughter has fallen in love with dance at this studio. Lucy and all the instructors are not only talented but good people that care about the students. The music and costumes are always tasteful. They really know how to bring out the best in each dancer. Thank you for making a lifelong positive impact on my daughter.

My twin daughters found their community at DABH. They started dancing in kindergarten and have danced for 12 years, with the past 7 as part of the company. Ms. Lucy, Yvette, Lisa and Nia have been incredibly special coaches and role models and helped them develop discipline, confidence and a love for dance as their "sport". Their experience at this dance studio is quite different than mine as a child, as they have been supported and embraced in the most positive way. So inspiring, I joined the adult tap class a few years back in my quest to get back on the dance floor. We are all so grateful for our experience at DABH.

My girls danced at Academy of Bloomfield Hills for 15 years. They both loved every minute of it. Ms. Lucy, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Yvette and Ms. Nia are excellent dance teachers and have become wonderful role models to them. They have given them the opportunity for leadership roles as well as the gift of love for dance. Our oldest is dancing in college and is the Visual Director of her dance team. Our youngest is using her dance skills for musical theater in college. We could not be more grateful for the expertise, instruction, and the technical skills the girls have learned at DABH. We are also thankful for the contribution of their character of discipline, commitment and, confidence. DABH is an all-around A++ studio for kids to grow and prosper.

We’ve been with the school for the past 6 years and my daughter loves it. My little one just started her 1st year in ballet and hip hop (we love Derrick - he’s wonderful with the kids and awesome dancers). It’s a warm and loving environment with great teachers. They put together an amazing dance recital with lots of love and creativity.
