Discovering the Dallas Young Actors Studio has been a transformative journey for our family, especially for our 15-year-old daughter, who is passionate about becoming a successful young actress. This past May, she began her classes in the TV/Film Acting Program and followed it up with the enriching experience of participating in the Summer Acting Camp in July.

Our daughter has attended a fine arts school for the last three years, which has focused more on musical theater than on TV and film acting. While she enjoys her learning experiences in the theater program the school offers, her heart has been set on exploring TV and film acting. The journey to find a program that aligned with her aspirations led us to discover the Dallas Young Actors Studio, and from the moment we set foot in the facility and had our first interaction with Mrs. Linda, it was clear that we had found something special and that this was where she belonged.

The studio offers a welcoming, educational, and nurturing family environment where students can thrive, perfectly aligning with our goals. From the initial tour, interview, and audition, it felt like home. The staff, students, and atmosphere were incredibly supportive and enthusiastic, confirming that we had made the right choice. The unwavering support my daughter received was instrumental in her development as an aspiring actress.

Through the comprehensive acting programs and her time at Dallas Young Actors Studio, our daughter has not only confirmed that TV and film acting is her true passion, but she has also blossomed. She has gained confidence, enhanced her improvisation skills, and learned the fundamentals of on-camera acting. She now understands the intricacies of delivering lines effectively, positioning and movement during scenes, and collaborating with other cast members. Moreover, she has gained valuable insights into the roles of director, producer, writer, and actor, appreciating how each contributes to the magic of production.

DYAS is a great place if you have a budding actor or filmmaker in your home. This place breeds success. We came from London and we were looking for good place for my son to start his acting and film making passion. We found a great team and wonderful mentors here in DYAS. It has build different kind of confidence in my son. DYAS not only teaches acting but it gives them life lessons and helps them to prepare for the outside world. The kids feel sense of belonging here. They feel safe to talk about their emotions, feelings, confusions and learn from each other. Where do I start, the owner and teacher name is Linda and she is a pill to deal with!! This lady needs psychological help, VERY unreasonable, illogical, unable to follow normal common sense conversation and will not take accountability!! 🙄 So sad for anyone who comes across this bipolar old mess of a person. She needs to learn how to speak to the children, the parents paying the bill & the employees - who have all mentioned on different occasions how batty she is. Definitely on the behavior mental disorder spectrum. Do not waste your families time nor money. Plenty of professional options in Dallas!!

So glad we found DYAS for our son. Although we are new so he hasn’t had his “big break” yet, he absolutely loves going every week and would spend every day there if he could. He’s learning so much about the industry while also developing confidence and a real passion for acting. It’s a very welcoming place and everyone in his classes is kind and accepting. Linda Seto, the director, is the real deal and many students of DYAS have had great success in Hollywood thanks to her connections and experience. I just love the Dallas Young Actors Studio. I enrolled both my children in their program and have greatly helped them in their confidence and how they present themselves publicly.
