DO NOT go to this shop if you want PROPER exhaust work. Before I scheduled an appointment I made sure to call and let them know what I would like done and they gave me a very reasonable price (which is why I chose them... poor choice) to weld on a muffler to my car. I had already taken the stock muffler off the car for him. When I set up an appointment I asked what time I should drop it off and he says “In the morning”. A little unprofessional but not the end of the world, I dropped it off that morning. He never let me know when it would be done and he calls me when it’s done. I go to the shop where he tells me my total is nearly triple the price he told me initially (he will not let you know before he does extra work to your car). He tried justifying the price to which I understood At the moment (assuming the job was done right!). I checked out the car and the tip of my new muffler is now sitting 6+ inches INSIDE the bumper of my car, you have to get close to the ground to even see the exhaust tip. I take it home and sure enough It melted some of my bumper onto my brand new muffler tip so I take it back. He offers to “make things right” and fix it, which should have been the case in the first place. I give him the opportunity to fix it and he did the opposite. I get my car back for the second time. The exhaust seems to be decently close to sticking out of the rear bumper, much better but not level not centered. He removed both exhaust hangers (left pieces of exhaust hanger welded to my brand new muffler) to replace them with a single piece of angle iron. He welded a piece of angle iron to my muffler then bolted it to the underside of the car ?‍♂️ . Anybody that knows anything about exhausts or even exhaust work CERTAINLY is aware that exhausts are NEVER bolted directly to the car. I’ve had to retighten the bolt holding the angle iron to my car and it causes constant vibration and rattling. He melted part of my rear bumper onto my new muffler, left pieces of welded exhaust hanger on my new muffler, bolted my muffler directly to my car with angle iron, and still charged me 3x the original quote. Needless to say, this is not a shop you want to go to for proper exhaust work. Every shop I’ve been to or seen or technician I’ve spoke to has been instantly alarmed by his “technique” of mounting my muffler.

Don't go anywhere else for muffler work. Bret and his team are extremely nice and very affordable. I brought a 66 International Scout in for them to thoroughly go over the exhaust system. It had some weird looking stuff on it and I trusted them completely. Bret ended up calling me and letting me know it needed to be tightened at the engine, welding of the muffler, and a new hanger. Cost me $42! That's it. He could of said I needed a whole new system. Honest company. I drove 27 miles. iI's worth it.

My brother-in-law recommended the shop to me. While I was in town. They don’t sound like they really want to do any business. I asked if they had any time to do an install and the gentleman on the phone said maybe next week without providing a specific time or date.

I brought my old ford flathead pickup to them for some new header back exhaust because the old exhaust was crooked and uneven out past the rear bumper. When i got there to pick it up the rear tailpipe where even more crooked than the old pipes. Had them fix the one that was real bad and then i noticed the gap between the tailpipe and the bumper where not even close to the same. And on top of that the pipes where not even coming out the back of the truck. Ive had a lot of custom exhaust work done by other shops and these guys are by far at the bottom of my quality list. I expected a lot better work especially for what it cost me.

Was the only muffler shop in Waukee area that would install a glass pack. Was informed that upon inspection my vehicle would require a new exhaust system; Approved the work. Work was done but used well used or damaged parts in repair. Shop around for a better option.

Took my car in to get some brake work done... I specifically said "call me and tell me what needs done and how much it will cost before you do any work".

I went out of town for 3 days and when I came back I called and wanted to know what was going on with the car

He says "It's done! and I also fixed your wheel bearing for you"

I NEVER SAID TO FIX A WHEEL BEARING?!?! It ended up costing about $800 for this wheel bearing and 2 rotors and some no name loaded brake calipers cheap junk. And on top of that they jerry rigged the break calipers and now they are leaking not even 3 months after it happened!!! Crooks!!!

Knowing what I know now I should have called the cops and sued them.

Absolute worst experience with a mechanic ever.

Been using them for years. Always friendly, great prices, and stands by his work....eg we had a Sunfire that went through 3 wheel bearing, I paid for one, other two were fixed as a warranty item.
