Our 6 year old son loves taking piano lessons here with Walker! For a kid who is typically afraid to try something new out of fear he won’t be good at it, it’s been amazing to watch him realize his own improvement each week. He practices without us having to ask and looks forward to his lessons. They also offer virtual lessons when you can’t make it in which is extremely helpful.

The Colorado Music Institute is phenomenal. Beautiful space and wonderful practice rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. I needed rehearsal space for a show that I was preparing and I didn’t want to rehearse in my basement and bother my husband and the neighbors. I found CMI and they had flexible hours, beautiful rehearsal rooms at an affordable price. It has been a huge benefit to the success of my show. Highly recommend CMI

Our kiddos have been attending CMI for a while now. My son has been with Bill Travis for several years learning drums. Bill has been a rock for my son, who seems to have found a passion for drumming through Bill, who teaches with a passion, and a child-like heart. Great customer service and facilities. I wish they would invest more in their pianos. The one I use is very old and has had broken / stuck keys at least 3x over the past 9 months and was really out of tune when I started lessons. Not sure the condition of the other pianos, but this one should really be donated and replaced with a new piano vs. needing constant repair.

Bill Travis is a fantastic percussion teacher! Bill taught my son all facets of percussion- from snare rudiments and mallet instruments to jazz and rock rhythms on the kit. He also helped my daughter who was a saxophone player with rhythms when she was struggling with sight-reading. He can do it all and most importantly, he knows how to talk to and relate to teenagers. My son says he is the most fun teacher he has ever had. (His favorite part of the lesson?….the jam session at the end of each lesson!) We highly recommend Bill!

We love CMI! We've been so impressed with Ken as the drum instructor for our two kids. He has a fantastic way of connecting with kids of all ages and making learning drums both fun and engaging.

He is patient and encouraging, always celebrating their progress while gently pushing them to challenge themselves. He tailors the lessons to each child's individual interests and learning styles, keeping them motivated and excited to come back for more.

We've seen a significant improvement in our kids' drumming skills since they started taking lessons with Ken. They're not only learning proper technique but also developing their confidence and creativity.
