Coastal Yoga is a wonderful boutique yoga and Pilates studio in downtown Winthrop. The owner Lisa is so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The studio offers a variety of classes and special events like sound baths, drumming and more. I was fortunate enough to win a free month of unlimited yoga at the studio in celebration of their 3 year anniversary. Class sizes and attendance vary, with some classes as small as 2 or as big as 10-12. The studio itself is in a narrow shop space in a historic building downtown. No frills here, but most classes are heated via infrared heat panels. I enjoyed all the classes I tried, particularly the Soul Flow. Classes are mostly at night, with 1-2 classes at 9am or 12 pm on select days. While I would have preferred some 8am or midday/evening class options on the weekend, I imagine demand is not there with the studio’s regulars. My only piece of feedback is that I wish the class descriptions on Mind/Body were a bit more transparent about the heat level of every class offered. Some classes listed heat levels, while others didn’t and I was surprised to find most every class at 85 degrees+, even the strength class. Overall, a gem of a studio with decent parking and close proximity to coffee and juice shops.

It's always a treat to return to Coastal Yoga when I am in the area for a heated practice, whether its a vigorous morning class or a slower evening flow. A retreat to cherish and a great way to immerse in local yoga community.

Coastal Yoga is an amazing yoga pilates studio with a welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable instructors. The variety of classes caters to all levels, and each class session is particularly effective. The flexible schedules make it easy to fit into a busy lifestyle! I love everything about Coastal Yoga and look forward to each class!

Coastal yoga is outstanding! I look forward to class every week and always leave feeling accomplished, reset, and refreshed. Lisa is an incredible instructor; she’s kind and personable and makes you feel at home from the very first class - and her classes are always challenging yet fun. I can’t recommend it enough.

I should have written this review well over a year ago - but coastal yoga is truly one of my favorite places to be. Lisa is absolutely incredible, knowledge, warm, and welcoming. Her teaching style, instruction, and cues are so easy to follow, even as an absolute beginner. The studio is so cozy too, a life saver in the winter!!!

I walked into coastal yoga with hardly any knowledge of yoga, but always had an interest. Lisa not only brought me up to speed fast, but I am continually challenged with new and fun poses.

Also - her instructors are amazing. I absolutely love Crystal Rose's Yin Yang class on Monday evenings, she is awesome! Do yourself a favor and sign up for some classes 🙂

Was visiting Boston for a short weekend from Florida. Tried out the Sunday morning hot power flow and this was SUCH a good little studio. It is on the smaller side, so make sure to book ahead or get there early, but it’s simple and the heat is the perfect temp.
Lisa is a fantastic instructor and her experience and passion inherently shine through. She’s welcoming, kind, helpful and inspiring.
Definitely check this studio out, I’d be a regular if I lived here.

Just want to make a shout out to Coastal yoga !! I have been practicing at the studio for the for the past year and it has helped me so much mentally and physically. Lisa is an amazing instructor and she has helped me to be more comfortable in yoga and deepen my practice. I appreciate what coastal yoga has done for me and recommend that if you want to try yoga or are a long term practitioner check out coastal yoga, they offer all levels for wherever you are at in your practice.

I love Coastal Yoga. The owner Lisa is amazing and has a beautiful teaching method. I love how she offers a variety of different style classes and has mats provided for whoever is in need of one! Perfect location and beautiful studio. Definitely worth it and I am coming back a ton!!!!!!! 5 stars.
