My 7 year old son has been attending Carmel Music Academy for over 2 years, and it's been such a wonderful experience. He’s had the opportunity to try different instruments, and he ultimately chose the drums, which he loves! The teachers are incredibly patient and supportive, and I appreciate how they nurture his musical growth. We also love Jon E. Gee and Mrs. Gee, the directors of the Academy.

We also love the workshops, which are enhanced music sessions that help their students deepen their music skills. He’s really excited to earn his next milestone trophy. He’s already performed in two concerts, and the experience has boosted his confidence so much. The communication from the academy is always clear and welcoming, and we truly feel like part of a family here. Highly recommend it!

Worst business decision ever!

On 1/2/2025 my four year went for a music lesson. Our plan was to try out. However, we were forced to sign a contract, before the lesson. We were told the instructor would be kid friendly. To our dismay, the instructor literally yelled at our child. My son did not want to attend again. I informed management about the grievance, and Jeremiah reassured me under the circumstances we could forfeit all remaining paid lessons, and the contract would be forfeited.

February 4, 2025 I am billed for a full month of lessons. Even after a prior conversation with Jeremiah on January 9, 16, and Janauary 23rd. Even February 3rd I called to inquire about the charge in my account. Jeremiah again informed me this was an accident, and it will be removed.

Parents, avoid this company at all cost. The dishonesty, lack of transparency is misleading, and disheartening.Save yourself an unreserved headache!

My son had been getting guitar lessons here for close to 3 years. He’s had 2 wonderful guitar teachers his time there. My son was going to take over the payments and pay for his own guitar lessons as he’s 19 and working full time. My son asked them if he could do 2 lessons a month instead of 4 times a month so he can save money. It took them 2 weeks to get back to him to tell him they don’t do this. Mrs. G CALLED me, remind you I don’t know this lady, to ask me to pay half!! I was flabbergasted to say the least. She was way out of line and wholly unprofessional.

We have been with Carmel Music Academy since my son (now 8) was 6 and my daughter (now almost 5) was 3. We weren’t sure what to expect with such young ages, but wanted to instill a love of music early on. The instructors have been fantastic. The kids have been exposed to multiple instruments, and the teachers make a real effort to focus on music the kids are excited about. We have met multiple teachers due to changing lesson times a couple times over the years and having substitutes occasionally, and everyone we have come in contact with has been great with the kids making a real effort to connect with them. The kids also enjoy the ladder system with the certificates and the trophies as it gives them something to work towards and feel accomplished. Currently my son is playing piano and drums, and my daughter is playing drums and ukelele.

My daughter has loved her voice lessons at Carmel Music Academy. The teachers and staff are so friendly and helpful and make us both feel welcome at each lesson. In addition to general voice instruction, her teacher worked with her to prepare her for both a school performance as well as local theater audition, and this helped not only with skill but with her confidence going into both...which is invaluable. We look forward to what CMA will continue to provide for her and her love for singing.

Carmel Music Academy has been part of our family for over 5 years. The dedication to helping children explore their love of music and creativity is inspiring. They’ve opened a new office, created a wonderful space and have created a curriculum to ensure each student advances their capabilities. The bracelet and trophy system is designed to bring motivation to the students and it certainly does for our kids displaying them at home. It’s a reminder of hard work and accomplishment to keep their love of music alive.

My daughter has attended a piano class in this place. The first teacher was not good at all, but the second one was pretty good! The management is ripping the customers off, though. They have a nonsense policy: They ask you to give a notice 30 days prior to leave the classes. If you will be in a new month after this 30 days notice, you must pay the whole new month as well. For example, if you give the notice on May 2nd, you have to pay for May, and June since it will be June 30 days after May 2nd. They offer a make-up class, but it must be in the weekends, and they are not good at all since they accept more than one kid for the make-up classes, even if you pay for the individual class.

I love this place! As a student, it is really nice here! My instructor Ms. Eliana not only can help me with auditions with theatre and choir stuff, she lets students pick what they wanna do, and works with it and finds a lesson or a strategy in the song to improve!
