One of the state's hidden gems. We dropped by to see the murals but had no idea there is an extensive exhibit as well with memorabilia and artifacts. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, gave us an excellent tour and answered all our (many) questions. A fascinating place to spend an afternoon!

The murals painted by German POWs during WW II are an incredible slice of history. Considering all the different uses of the building in which they are housed, it's surprising they have survived. The museum adds a nice local perspective to the WW II experience. Worth the time to visit. Nominal admission fee. Veterans are admitted at no charge.

It has lots of memorabilia from different wars and beautiful murals that were painted by a German prisoner when he was incarcerated on the base during ww2. I brought my photo club and they all had a very enjoyable experience!

Nice place for weddings and reception. There is art on all the wall that was hand painted. There is a story behind the art work but I don’t know the full details but it’s nice to see .

Awesome visit . stopped by today not expecting much. Curator showed us around answered any questions we had. Many , many artifacts from WWII, Korean war , even Vietnam war.

Learned so much at this museum. Very interesting history and a great learning experience. Really enjoyed the art work done by the POWs.

GREAT I LOVED LOOKING AT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE uniforms
And the old picture's the old toys
But the paintings on the walls was fascinating I will be back to finish the tour

Very nice. The history behind the art is incredible. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
