Stay far, far away. The office is run by a very rude lady and they constantly get accounts mixed up (IE saying you didn't pay when you did, taking months to cash checks, duplicate billing).
The owner/director has a history of driving away students/clientele due to the unprofessional environment. Ask anyone who danced or had a kid that danced there and the majority will tell you that the owner and many teachers are nasty to the children, specifically those on her competition team.
She will lie to you about your child's abilities in order to get you to stay/spend more money, the teachers are not certified, she lets teenagers "teach" her classes, she will gouge you by charging you $150 for a $20 costume and nickel and dime you to death.
She will spread the worst kind of gossip to & about parents and kids without regard to the effects it has on the emotional health of her students (including speculating on kids sexual activities, home life, marital & money problems). She will also make fun of a child's abilities to others that attend. All this leads to an atmosphere that is unhealthy, stressful and even traumatic for children and teens.
I personally witnessed all of this behavior and more over a period of 10+ years, everything I saw/heard can be validated by others who also experienced the same of the course of their times there. I wish I had heeded the warnings of parents already involved and stayed far away. The sooner this place goes out of business the better off the community will be.

If you are looking for real dance training in a professional environment, I would advise searching outside of Calvert in St Mary's, Deale, Bowie, etc. It will be well worth your drive and your sanity.

Due to real concerns about harassment, I am not posting using my real name. My child already ended up in therapy once, I dont need it to happen again.
