My kid has been in the Exploration class since last year and has truly enjoyed it. He always looked forward to each session, eager to learn and explore new themes. The teachers are wonderful—patient, kind, and supportive—guiding the students at their own pace and based on their interests.

My daughter enjoyed the class a lot! she is literally addicted to her teacher Ms Connie lol. Calcolor put up a 10-year anniversary art show recently and my daughter submitted an artwork and she had a blast at the exhibition!

I would highly recommend calcolor to those who are looking for art studio for their kids. The most impressive parts of calcolor are the teaching team and their curriculum. They have fun and very well/systematic designed lessons from 4-5 year old all the way up to high school. My kid has enjoyed every project with calcolor for the last two years with Mr. Alvin and Ms. Peiju. Their classes are fulfilled with knowledge, inspiration and imagination.

CalColor Newark is a great place for kids to learn drawing. The room is neat and the teachers are very experienced and nice. Most importantly, they always encourage children's creativity. My daughter studies foundation class at this studio and she loves it so much. She always tells me that Mr. Alvin's teaching is really fun and I can tell she is making a lot of progresses. I would definitely recommend this studio to my friends whose kids might be interested in drawing learning.

Calcolor is a great drawing school. My daughter has been studying there for 3 years and made a lot of progresses. Her drawing teacher at Calcolor is Mr. Alvin and he is such a wonderful teacher. He is very patient with his students and sometimes uses his sense of humor to make the class more enjoyable. He is very professional and experienced and always comes up with some interesting projects for his students to encourage their creativity. My daughter loves his class. Mr Alvin is not only patient with the students, but also with the parents. He would always end his class with a talk to the parents about his main lesson for the students for the class and what his students have accomplished and then homework for the week. He also gives time to the parents to ask any questions and would stay late and talk to each parent individually if necessary. We are really satisfied with Mr. Alvin’s teaching and would highly recommend him.

We spent almost three years with calcolor academy and most recently with the newly opened Newark site. The curriculum is fun creative and so well designed that the kids get a great taste of art while creating their artwork with their own individual style. I am so grateful to all the teachers we have been with - Ms Rachel Ms Yishu and Mr Alvin ; my son developed his interest in art thanks to all the inspiration and patience. The teachers really pay close attention to get to know each kid and his/her personality and style. They try their best to bring arts to kids’ life. Highly recommend Calcolor to kids from age 4 and above (they offer portfolio advanced class to age 10+ and AP class at certain sites I think).

Newark Calcolor is a wonderful place for young kids to start their artwork. Teachers are very professional and nice. My son really enjoy painting there and I can see his progress week by week.

I would highly recommend CalColor to anyone looking for fun drawing class for kids.

They provided different drawing materials, like pencils, charcoal, oil pastel/soft Pastel, tempera paint, marker, etc. My 5 year old daughter not only loved it, and learned so much. The teachers there are wonderful!
