The quality of instructors is second to none. Don’t think twice about it!
Can’t recommend them enough. The studio has a calm and welcoming atmosphere. My fiancé loves dancing, specially salsa, but I’ve always felt uncomfortable dancing it. Thankfully, we connected with Cherie at BourbonTango. She is a wonderful instructor with 30 years of experience. We got a wedding package at a great value, it includes personalized 1:1 lessons with flexible hours to prepare for the big day. From just the first private session, I feel so much more confident and we went home with routines to practice together. Try them out!

Clay did an absolutely amazing job choreographing our first dance for our wedding and even went beyond teaching us that dance by explaining how to use what we learned and translate it to social dancing. We always had a blast at our lessons and he gave really good feedback. Our first dance was my favorite part of our wedding day and it’s all thanks to Clay!

Clay Marshall and Cherie Lanier, owners of Bourbon Tango, are kind, patient and very talented dance instructors and they provide a warm and welcoming environment for their dancers. They also are very supportive of live tango music and have had our band, Tango D’Ville, play a number of times at the milongas they host regularly at their studio. The opportunity to dance to live tango music is rare and it’s just one more reason why we think Bourbon Tango Studio is so very special. We look forward both to our dance classes with Clay and Cherie in the new year and being able to play for more Bourbon Tango milongas in 2020!

My fiancé and I took dance lessons from Clay for our Oct 2023 wedding and had a great experience. Clay was professional and personable. Of all the wedding planning it turned into our favorite part of the the whole process. Clay was fun to work with and met us on our level. We were new to dance but felt home at their studio. If you are looking for a Dance instructor I would 10/10 recommend. Bonus, they also had info for more dance events!

Clay worked with me for several months to learn a west coast swing style dance for a Louisville Dancing with the Stars themed competition. He made me feel so comfortable and really made our dance spectacular!! Both Clay and Cherie made my experience one I will never forget! I can't wait to get back in the studio! A couple friends and I recently discovered the Louisville dance scene and have fallen in love with Bourbon Tango for classes in Swing, Salsa and Bachata. Our last few years have been rough and dancing has proven to be the perfect therapy. There is such an atmosphere of warmth at Bourbon Tango. They welcome you with hugs and encouragement each visit. They have made us feel as if we not only have found a place to learn but also a loving community of fun new friends.

So happy to be a part of this dance family! Im seasonal now, part-time in Florida but always feel so welcomed when I return. Clay and Cherie believe in the power of dance and music. They are a premier dance studio in the Louisville area for Argentine Tango.
