My daughters were both former students and except for one teacher, the teachers there don't care about teaching the proper techniques and making sure they really know their steps unless they are competition dancers. My daughters both learned more their first year at their current dance studio verses years at BLDC. Also, my daughters learn two dances every year and have two recitals every year versus only one dance at BLDC.

Daughter there for 11 years. Left studio recently due to the lack of education, knowledge and direction with ballet.. Not a strong studio if looking for the absolute foundation of dance. Ballet they fall so behind. My daughter is way behind in ballet for her age from this studio.

I would not recommend this place as a former dancer, they are way off on when they start the girls on pointe and there are much better options in the area. They create an environment that is damaging to very vulnerable young girls. The ballet teacher Ms .Hollie is living in the past and is creating scary tactics to the girls, as she runs a class around favorites. Run to another studio.

PI've been involved at Body Language since they opened in Jenison. My daughters have both been given excellent technical training in a caring, nurturing environment. One daughter is now pursuing a dance degree in college. I had such a great experience as a dance parent that now that my daughters are no longer dancing there, I'm taking adult classes. Would not consider any other studio in the Grand Rapids area.

My daughter is entering her 6th year of dance and absolutely loves it!! The progress she makes every year is amazing to watch. She is also developing supportive friendships and making life long memories! It's a very welcoming environment and the staff is AWESOME! I would highly recommend Body Language Dance Company!

My daughter has been dancing at BLDC several years in recreational classes as well as their competition team. We couldn't be more pleased not only with the proper dance education she has received but also the life skills she receives from her teachers. They really do care about each student that walks through that door. If you have commitment and drive BLDC is right for you!!

Unless you are on the competition team, you will not learn any proper dance techniques here. After several years of "recreational" classes, my daughter left for another studio and learned more in her 1st 3 months than she ever learned at BLDC.
Also, over priced - charges for costumers are high, charges to be in recital and tickets. Craziness.

I've been dancing here just shy of 20 years. The teachers are phenomenal they pour their heart and soul into every dance and every student. I started with regular rec classes then moved up to competition and now I dance in the adult classes. Best studio!
