I had just about given up on being able to wear a favorite pair of Born boots again. They are several years old, with a lot of miles on them and somehow the stitching had blown out on one side of the right shoe.

I initially brought them to a shop that was closer to home, and was told they could not be fixed. I tried to sew them myself, but I had no idea what I was doing or how to get a needle through leather.

After talking with a friend about my experience with the local shop, she told me about Bass River Shoe Repair. She had used them on a few different occasions, and had great things to say about their work.

After a quick phone call to confirm that they could look at my boot, I made the drive to South Yarmouth, and found their shop tucked away not far from the town center.

The gentleman who does the repairs examined the boot and seemed hopeful about making them wearable again. A week later, I got the call that they were fixed and ready for pickup.

I can't say how happy it makes me that my boots have a second life. In this throw-away culture that we live in, it is refreshing to know that a business like this still exists on Cape Cod. The repair was incredibly reasonable, especially when compared to the cost of new boots.

Had a pair of boots resoled. They were done way faster than I expected and were about half the price I was expecting to pay. The boots were 12+ years old and I got them back looking maybe better than brand new. Bring cash as they do not take card. Great old-school small business and would highly recommend!

After dealing with GiGi's shoe repair in Orleans only to find that my boots weren't touched and had water damage done to them, I came here to Bass River Shoe Repair. I explained what I would like to have repaired, and was told 1 week. I came back in 1 week, and not only was it 15.00 dollars cheaper than the other repair shop, but the quality of work done was 5 star rating. Very nice people, and the craftsmanship was excellent. Will use their services again in the future.

I had an old pair of original Ugg boots that I had absolutely beat the snot out of! Half expecting to get turned away; these folks work miracles. Resoled and shiny I couldn't have been happier. Cash only folks.

The lacing of one shoe of my almost new pair of moccasins broke off near the tie. I had it in my mind that even if it were not repaired exactly the same as its mate, I did not care because they were dark brown and it would not be noticeable. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could not tell the difference between the one that was in perfect condition and the one that was repaired. Amazing.

Terrific! Excellent work! A favorite pair of workboots needed some restitching and I also need to have a leather tabbed golf belt shortened which required cutting and then reattaching the tab. Bob at Bass River is clearly highly skilled at his craft. Both items are now perfect and ready for years more of use. Additionally, a contactless drop-off and pick up process is in place with boxes located outside of the shop. I highly recommend Bass River Shoe repair for anyone wanting high quality work to extend the use of their leather goods.
