I’ve been coming to the silks classes for about a year and I take ballet 2x a week now. The teachers are so supportive. I am almost 40 and I am over 200lbs. They have been nothing but supportive and inspiring and encouraging. I don’t feel self conscious. It’s like a small family. My bestie also does silks with me. We have gotten so strong and my confidence personally has been so much better. I love the community. I love my teachers and i love being in class with old and new friends. It’s a great atmosphere for anyone any age and any BODY. I can’t say enough good things about this studio and its staff.

This studio just isn’t for me. I took an intro to adult aerial class, which is hard to schedule. They make you call instead of just posting class times/schedules online like most of the places I’ve been.

What really threw me was their “selling approach” after the class. The instructor pulls you aside individually and asks if you want to join the studio full time. She also offered me a deal and when I told her I needed time to think about it, she said “just so you know, this deal is no longer valid after you leave.” Which is a pretty aggressive selling technique after your first class. Also, why do they pull you aside individually? Whether it’s true/intentional, it makes it seem super sketchy. Are they telling people different prices? Are they only inviting some people to join?

I see lots of good reviews so this very well may be a great studio but they did NOT leave a good first impression.

I started taking the aerial sills class at AAPA a couple of months ago and it’s been an amazing experience! Everyone is so welcoming and open and it makes for a very comfortable setting no matter what your level of expertise. I needed an outlet for caring for my body again after kids and this has been the perfect way to do that while also enjoying learning new tricks as my experience increases! Each class feels like a little family just enjoying each others company and lifting each other up when a new trick is learned/mastered! Empowering each other is another reason to join up and work towards your own personal goals!

My little daughter started from another academy, it took her a bit she is only 4, but the teachers Sam have been amazing!!! So thankful I found this place as being new to the area.... I highly recommend it for little 1s and even mama's that are getting they're groove back! Very happy to be part of attitude academy family

Attitude Academy of Performing Arts has a very inclusive, supportive, and comfortable environment. Which are all favorite qualities of this place. The staff here are precious gems. I take Aerial Silks class with Sarah. She’s little, fierce, and a supportive instructor. She ensures your safety throughout the class, always asks how everyone’s bodies are feeling, and she makes the class really fun! The one thing I enjoy about Attitude is how comfortable I feel there. I’m no dancer, I have no professional experience dancing, and i’m in my 30s. I don’t have a “dancer’s body”, but my instructor always applauds my efforts in class and reminds me of how strong I am. My bestie (who got me hooked on Aerial), takes ballet in addition to silks. She has nothing but great things to say about her instructor and how supportive she is of her because she too does not have a “dancer’s body”. It doesn’t matter your age, it does not matter your size. Attitude academy of performing arts encourages everyone to come dance! If you’re thinking of trying out a class, just do it. You will not regret it.

My child loves AAPA; the environment is lively and engaging, and the dance instructors have a great rapport with the students. I've watched my child’s confidence grow and she's able to learn, and thrive. It's been a pleasure and a wonderful experience.

My little one has had such a great time at Attitude Academy of Performing Arts in Dartmouth. She has been working on her focus and attention. She has made several new friends. Her teacher Makayla has been wonderful with her. She is always happy and excited to go to her class! Would highly recommend AAPA! They also have adult classes that look fun!
