Annaliza at Artista Dance Studio is an awesome teacher! She's patient, super knowledgeable from years of teaching, and gets a helping hand from Hector, her dance partner. In just four sessions, I went from knowing nothing to being able to move and remember the Salsa steps. We started at beginner level, focusing on basic steps and then learning more complex sequences. Annaliza provides a personalized experience, teaching not just the steps but also the rhythms, some dance theory, how to connect with your partner, and proper holds—stuff you can't pick up from YouTube alone. At the end of each lesson, we'd record a video for practice at home. I learned so much from her and would highly recommend her classes to anyone interested in Salsa or other Latin dances!

Annaliza is an excellent dancer and teacher! She is very passionate and detailed. I attended her salsa and bachata classes. The classes are beginner friendly; she breaks down the choreography in small steps and repeats the steps a bunch of times both in slow and fast paces so we get used to the flow. She also answers any questions you might have about the choreography.

Hector and Annaliza at Artista are truly amazing dancers! They have one of the most organized and structured group lessons for Bachata and Salsa in the south bay which I found to be really helpful. It has helped keep continuity and progress through months. You also are able to form partners to practice with and go to socials with!

I've taken many classes with Hector (Mambonova) and Annaliza (Artista) here at Artista Dance School. The school offers many classes, from salsa, bachata, ballroom, fitness and ladies shine.

Both instructors have different teaching styles and expertise. As a pair, Hector and Annaliza dance beautifully together and is truly an inspiration.

You really can't go wrong with any of the classes. I started with no experience at all a year ago and now I can enjoy music with the expression of dance. You will learn tons, have fun and be able to feel great when you move. In the shine classes, you'll learn movement details and in the partner classes, you'll learn how to lead/follow through moves as well as tips for how to have fun and be respectful at social dance.

The school also hosts socials for students on occasion as a safe place to socialize and practice dancing together. I love that they do this to help foster their students' creativity and confidence. The school also has a few dance teams as well and is a great way to take your skills to another level.

Annaliza was an excellent instructor for our Two to Tango class. We loved the music playlist, and she is skilled and patient at demonstrating the subtleties of movement with your dance partner across the floor.

She enthusiastically taught us choreography and broke it down into simple steps. She even recorded us and shared the videos with the students to help us track our progress.

We also thoroughly enjoyed her Salsa dancing classes, and highly recommend dance classes at Artista Dance!

Annaliza is an awesome teacher. I've taken the bachata beginners course and am currently taking the salsa beginner course in Mountain view. She breaks down the choreography really well and helps us figure out how to perform the steps, and then helps us put them together really well. Cannot recommend her enough!!

My partner and I have taken the beginner salsa partner classes twice and have enjoyed it a ton! Annaliza is such a fun/bubbly and great teacher and the classes are super affordable. Can't wait to sign up for more classes 🙂
