My husband and I are both not dancers and were very uncomfortable with the thought of everyone watching us during our first dance. We took a shot with Arthur Murray hoping to just learn a few moves to feel more comfortable during our dance. Rachel was our instructor and she created a beautiful choreographed dance. We worked with both her and Aaron the most during our lessons. All of the moves within the dance matched our skill level which increased our confidence. We originally started with 8 lessons and ended up adding 2 more to feel more confident with the dance. We are so pleased and glad we did this! It created beautiful photos and everyone was so shocked during our reception. Thank you so much Rachel and Aaron!

I started classes in March of this year and it was the best thing for me. The Team at Arthur Murray took me from being an absolute novice at dance to being able to hold my own on nearly any dance floor. Since I started, they gave me the confidence I needed to explore more places to dance and I have met so many amazing people! This is only the start of my dance journey and I have been glad I signed up from day 1. My only comment is on the overall cost of the studio. It is quite high for people just starting dance because it creates a barrier to many new people. But for what I got out of my own personal experience this year, it was well worth it for me in the end if you do decide to start lessons here.

Best Decision We Ever Made! This is the absolute best place to go to learn to dance in the Kansas City area. My husband and I have been taking lessons for eight years. I had limited dance experience and my husband had none (including no rhythm at all). We now enjoy dancing whenever the opportunity arises. I just wanted to share how much I appreciate the dance instructors at Arthur Murray. They are absolutely amazing at what they do! I have some difficulty with hearing, and wearing hearing aids can make social situations challenging for me. However, being able to learn from such skilled professionals at Arthur Murray has really boosted my confidence. If you’re even remotely thinking about taking dance lessons in general, but especially for your wedding and/or first dance, don’t even hesitate 🙂 just call and schedule your complimentary first lesson.

We originally planned to choreograph our own using YouTube videos. Thank goodness we decided to use Arthur Murray’s instead. We decided to make the first lesson (again complimentary) a fun date night and then decide whether or not to pursue it. We had sooo much fun and ultimately decided to move forward with a lesson plan they offered. It was worth every penny. Each time we would work with a different instructor, but they all knew where we left off and helped to add in different moves, styles and finishing touches, so that within 6 weeks, we had a full dance, and practically had it memorized. It made our first dance at the reception so effortless and the pointers they gave us made for really great pictures. We are so happy that we came across this company, and could not have been happier with each and every instructor we had. They were all soo nice and professional and we hope to go back at some point to learn additional dances with them. Thank you to every one at Arthur Murray’s who helped make our overall experience, and our big day absolutely perfect!

Quality dance instruction and a friendly, supportive atmosphere, that’s how I’d describe this studio. I’ve been coming for several years learning ballroom, latin, country, and swing dances, and in the process have made new friends and had great fun! I can not say enough positive things about this place and these people! My husband surprised me with an introductory lesson gift certificate for Christmas... and here we are, 2 years later, going to Arthur Murray for dance lessons every week! All levels of skill are welcome, and the environment is non judgemental and so much fun. We came in with very little dance experience (and questionable rhythm) wanting to feel comfortable dancing in social situations. We achieved that, but so much more. As recent empty nesters, dancing turned into a great way to reconnect, and much more fun than therapy ?

The instructors are not only knowledgable, professional, and patient, they are exceptional people! They have made the experience so enjoyable with their upbeat and encouraging attitude. In a world of so much negativity, the positive vibe of Arthur Murray is so refreshing. I would give 10/10 if it was an option.
