I've really enjoyed the two pottery classes I've taken here, looking forward to starting my 3rd pottery class in a few weeks! I started with zero knowledge on how to throw clay and have made a lot of progress with these classes. I've seen some other reviews saying there is a lack of instruction. The classes start with an intro of "this is how to do it" and then there is a lot of self lead time. The self lead time is important because truly you just have to practice repeatedly to get the hang of it. It is important to note though that if you want help on your specific project, all you have to do is ask and the instructor will happily provide more guidance.

I cannot recommend this program due to its lack of flexibility and support. Trying to arrange accommodations for my children was far more stressful than it should have been. I requested a straightforward accommodation for my 11-year-old daughter to attend the same class as her 10-year-old autistic sister, who relies heavily on her support. As homeschoolers, they've worked side by side every day for five years. I was disappointed by the program’s unwillingness to accommodate, especially considering its supposed goal of serving the community and meeting individual needs. To make matters worse, I have yet to receive a call or any explanation for their rigidity, nor have I been offered alternative options or solutions to work this out in the future.

The building is beautiful, the people are kind, and I’ve learned so much since I started taking ceramics classes here almost 2 ago years. The instructors all bring their unique teaching style and skill set to the table and both the teachers and the staff have been very helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Bad Services!
I submitted scholarship applications for my daughter several weeks ago, but haven't received any response yet. At least they can tell me if she has been selected or not?

For a beginners wheel throwing pottery class I was definitely looking for more instruction and guidance. On day 1 you get a brief introduction on how to throw on the wheel but all remaining sessions were free of instruction / self -led. I struggled with knowing what to do next as my abilities were limited to my pottery experiences in the past. After making a couple bowls I got pretty bored. I don’t know if I would say it was worth the expense (ceramics class at this studio are pretty pricey roughly $350). If you are a beginner looking for guidance or lesson type classes I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I have taken a few classes here over the years. I really like the instructors, many of the staff and the wide variety of classes to choose from. Small parking area and very limited street parking.

I teach some classes here, so I'm a bit biased, but I love our building and all the other people who work there. The garden is just lovely. The classes are always interesting and informative, and you get to learn right from the artist.

Update: the school has been very diligent following the mask regulations, and is keeping masks on in kids classes, which helps us all keep safe!
