My 9 yr old daughter has been dancing at ABDC for 2.5 years now and just completed her first year on the competitive team. We have had nothing
but wonderful experiences with the owner, teachers, dancers, and parents! I am most impressed by the strong emphasis on kindness and inclusion, not just within the studio itself, but also towards other studios at competitions; I was proud to see these traits rewarded multiple times at various competitions this season. In addition, the staff and faculty foster independence and responsibility in the dancers, helping them to grow into well-rounded humans as well as dancers. And of course, their dances are fun and engaging and the classes are taught by talented, supportive teachers . My daughter absolutely loves her time at ABDC, and so do I!

Review is specific to the toddler class -

On our first day we got there 15 minutes early and the instructor didn’t talk, introduce, and/or engage with my daughter before class. I was asked to join the class because my daughter was having a hard time - I observed her standing still to watch the other dancers. I was also told this was normal and we’d see how the next class went.

Our second class, there was a different who took the time before class to introduce and talk to my daughter and shared her excitement about class. Afterwards, the instructor said she did great and she had no concerns with her signing up. So we scheduled the meeting with the owner to sign up.

The owner called me to cancel because the first instructor said my daughter wasn’t ready. She admitted she never spoke to or considered the second class/instructors opinion before making a decision.

This was inconsistent messaging and showed a lack of communication across the studio owner and instructors.

Overall, I didn’t experience a program that was designed for young toddlers or welcoming. There was nothing in place to ensure a smooth transition nor were they willing to work with us on bridging that gap.

Also, they didn’t have visible cameras or mirrors for you to watch the kids.

We love Anchor Bay Dance Center! I have a very shy 2.5 year old. She loves to dance but takes a long time to warm up to new people. Ms. Suzanne was kind enough to offer us a tour of the studio so my daughter could get more comfortable before her first class. As soon as we arrived, she greeted us at the door, got down to my daughter’s level and warmly welcomed her in. This made all the difference and my child was instantly comfortable and so excited for dance class. All of the teachers and staff have been fabulous! They’re so fun and just naturals at working with kids. No one has rushed my daughter to go outside her comfort zone until she is ready. She’s especially loved Ms. Tristyn and Ms. Katherine. She’s attended about 6 classes so far, and we already feel like family every time we go. We plan to continue classes here for many years-as long as my daughter wants to keep dancing! I could go on and on about how great this studio is. I definitely recommend them.

This dance studio is absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond in every way possible to make each child succeed! They’re always willing to help and do everything they can, to make sure each child feels like they’re apart of the dance family! The staff/teachers/directors/coaches are amazing! Their personalities are out of this world and such a breathe of fresh air! My stepson has been here for two months and I honestly couldn’t imagine him anywhere else! If you want your child to succeed, feel at home, and dance like they’ve been doing it their whole lives….Then Anchor Bay Dance Center is the place for them!

I can not say enough good things about Anchor Bay dance Studio! We have been here for about 2 years and my daughter absolutely loves it! The staff is amazing with the kids and everybody (staff, other parents, and kids) are so friendly and welcoming! The other kids were extremely helpful and welcoming to my daughter when she first came here and I honestly feel like we have made friends for life. The teachers and all of the staff are very attentive to each students needs, they answer questions right away, and they care about you and your child. I feel like since attending Anchor Bay, My daughters technique has improved as well as her self confidence and she’s made so many friends. We love Anchor Bay dance Center and can’t thank you guys enough for teaching and being there for my daughter.

After COVID shut down our previous studio we signed our girls up for the 2 week trial. From the moment they stepped into the dance studio they loved it!! The teachers and other dancers made them feel welcome and included. I have 2 girls with very different personalities, so many times it is difficult to please both of them with the same atmosphere.. Fast forward 2 years and they both still love it!! The teachers are amazing, they help the dancers learn proper technique all while making classes fun! The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is truly a family oriented studio where ALL are welcome and made to feel special. We just had a real recital with a packed auditorium and it did not disappoint!! It was so very fun and entertaining! If you are looking for a dance studio where you children will have fun, gain self confidence, build character, and learn proper technique look no further!

Beautiful new studio ! Ms. Katherine is the best dance teacher ever ! She makes dance fun while teaching and inspiring our kids to do there very best. Ms Katherine has been my daughters dance teacher for the last 7 years at her previous studio and I couldn’t ask for a better teacher or a better person for my daughter to learn from and look up to. My daughter wanted to stay with Katherine so we joined her new studio and are extremely impressed with how it looks and how efficiently and friendly the whole experience has gone. My daughter just told me today that she loves the new studio and just in the past 2 days she feels at home and has made new friends that feel like forever friends!

This studio is Amazing. My kids love dancing dancing here and just being there in general. It's never difficult to get them there but always difficult to get them to leave because they love it so much. They have made friendships that willast a lifetime. The staff tend to each of my kids individual needs. They help them not only in technique but with their confidence too. I am so proud and honored to be a part of the Anchor Bay Dance Center family!
