Just had a great experience with Brownies. Was concerned about some noises my engine was making, and they scheduled me quickly, did a thorough check, and let me know what they found. Turned out it wasn’t the transmission after all, but they showed me what other things might be causing the noise and gave me excellent instructions for what I could do next. Didn’t charge me a thing for checking it out. Would happily recommend this place to anyone.

Did work on my car, which was under a family member. Absolutely horrible communication. Took a very extended amount of time to do the work and had to be constantly chased down for updates or information. Had to come into the location *several* times in person simply to get an update. Even once the work was completed we had to bring it back due to errors made on their end during the initial repair... Which also took an extended amount of time and required us to hound them for updates.

This was two years ago, but I felt compelled to update *why* I left my rating since they are wanting it removed. I haven't thought about this experience in some time and find it unfair to call for the removal of valid negative reviews. Reviews are for the customers and consumers, we are allowed to have opinions.

I cannot say enough good things about Shawn and his team at Brownie’s in Miamisburg. He quoted me on a new transmission replacement and walked me through multiple options. I ended up opting to forgo a replacement and buy a new car, but he worked with me and the dealer to have the car picked up and taken to auction. The kindness he showed me during a stressful situation was unmatched. I highly recommend Brownie’s for your transmission needs. The team will definitely take care of you.

Transmission was slipping on our ‘99 Dodge Ram 2500. Took it to Brownies Independent Transmission shop, and they did an outstanding job. We needed essentially an entire transmission rebuild, and these guys handled our older truck with a level of care and professionalism that’s difficult to find these days. Prices seemed very fair for the amount of work they did. Some of the best money we ever spent on this truck honestly. Transmission running as good as new, and we’re very happy with our experience at Brownies.

The team at IT was fantastic to work with. They helped walk me through the repair process and my portions for upgrading stock parts during the repair process. Thankfully, the repair ended up being minor and instead of getting a huge bill, they walked me through the issue and handled things in an incredibly generous manner that was more than I would have expected. I’ve had several pleasant experiences at brownies. They did a fantastic job replacing my transmission in my Jeep. I had to return because there was air in my clutch line. They honored my warranty and helped fix it without question. Shaun has been honest and forthcoming. He’s earned a repeat customer.

Contacted this place about checking out our cars transmission. They said it could be done for an extreme amount in my opinion but we let them do it. They took it apart. Didn’t keep us updated during the process, anytime we got new info was because my husband had to call. They took our transmission apart and attempted to give it back to us as an extra special paper weight you’ll never be able to pick up. Our car didn’t come out any better and they didn’t tell us before hand that they can break things but not actually fix them and still expect money. Now we’re having our car worked on and the new place found that brownies left a bunch of bolts loose. Eww have kids that ride in the car and that’s wildly unacceptable it’s bad enough the customer service wasn’t great. The manger did end up calling to help the situation but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place, the workers there need not be there. Wouldn’t recommend
