I'm so happy that I went to Iowa City Tire and Service. For months I'd been searching for the right wheel/tire combination for my camper van. I was looking for a bigger wheel size than the original van size and had a specific height and rim width to work with. Andy's knowledge and professionalism made it easy. He did all the hard work of sifting through options and brands and suggested several that would be optimal.

Several days later the wheels came in and Andy's staff took care of the installation. They look amazing and better still, they ride really well. I took them on a 1,000-mile trip two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. The entire experience at Iowa City Tire and Service was professional, courteous, prompt and personable.
The relationship that Andy has with his staff and his clientele is testimony to the integrity and professionalism of this business.

Wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else. Extremely friendly and helpful guys, and scheduling service over the phone is a breeze. Quick turnaround on oil change and rotations. They saved me a bundle recently by repairing a punctured tire so I didn't have to get new ones. I'd drive twice as far to have them service my truck- trust is key in this business. Would recommend easily.

I am so grateful I found this place! My truck needed new struts and no one nearby where I live was able/willing to get the parts. I called IA City Tire and Service and had an appointment within 5 minutes. I tried to add on some work when I got there, and was coached out of the need for it, and some places would not do that. My girlfriend's car broke down recently and she initially had it towed to Firestone. They came back with a ridiculous list of "issues" and a bill that easily exceeded the value of the car. It all just didn't seem quite right. I know more than average person about cars, but I'm still far from a mechanic so I recommended we get a second opinion. Iowa City Tire treated us exceptionally well from the moment we walked in. One thing I always look for in a mechanic is how they treat my girlfriend as cars just aren't her thing and other less honest companies will try to take advantage of that. She always received the exact same clear explanation and tone that I did. After looking the car over, they came back with a much more reasonable fix for the car. Unfortunately, the car just wasn't worth much anymore and the fix was still fairly major. They offered a very fair price, but it just wasn't worth fixing anymore. Regardless, Iowa City Tire and Service never attempted to push us to get the work done and were sympathetic to our position to not have the job done. We began looking for a new car and due to their fantastic service had Iowa City Tire do a pre-purchase inspection. The quote for the inspection was beyond fair and once more we were treated very well with clear explanations for any questions we had. If you need a good, honest business with great prices and kind staff, go here. You will not regret it. Having moved to the area in June, it's quite relieving to have found a good mechanic so soon. They will be doing any work for me or my girlfriend going forward. PS: They also have a gorgeous shop dog named Bentley and I assure you he's a very good boy!

Totally understand why this place has 5 stars!... because they are great, efficient, and honest (which is extremely hard to find these days)! The best around!!! Had no idea about this hidden gem; seriously will be here for all of our auto needs in the future. Thank you!

Service was quick and they repaired the tire on our Explorer without any issues. However, I was shocked when presented the $57 for the repair of one tire. Will think twice about returning here, simply due to pricing.

Highly recommend Iowa City Tire! My husband and I have brought our vehicles here several times for a variety of issues, and they are always able to get us in quickly, and resolve the problem with our cars in a timely manner. Andy is so nice and you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers. This is the place to go for sure!
