He helped us in a pinch over Christmas Break. Our son’s car broke down on a Saturday evening and I was flying blind trying to get the car towed and fixed from Naperville, IL. I found Chad and the shop via a Google search. The shop was closed for the night/weekend but he left an emergency contact number on his shop’s VM message. I called him - and he was GREAT! We had the car towed to his shop and he had it ready by Sunday morning! We are so thankful to now have an honest and talented mechanical contact in Iowa City for our kid’s (students) cars. Thank you, Chad. You were a HUGE help in a time of need!!

Taking my daughter back to the university of Iowa the alternator went out on my 2004 Chevy express and chad literally dropped everything he was doing and got us in immediately! Awesome service fair price and kept my wife and I from being stranded out of state overnight THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Chad Cermak is an outstanding mechanic and an incredible person. He has taken amazing care of my family’s vehicles for several years now. Our last vehicle would have died out years sooner than it did had it not been for him. It’s disgusting how many people are sitting around and waiting to jump on a bandwagon of false accusations. How bored must you be to post slander on a business you’ve never even been to, simply because of something in the news? Bottom line, if you’re looking for an honest mechanic who will take great care of you, this is the best place you could go.

Chad Cermak is the best mechanic I've ever known. He's completely honest (he'll actually talk you out of repairs that aren't needed yet), very smart, very experienced, very reasonably-priced. I also really appreciate his verbal skills (unusual in my experience of car mechanics) and his cheerful willingness to explain the inner workings of cars to the less experienced.

We have known Chad probably 25 years. He is an outstanding mechanic that always is honest with his customers and tries to keep the bills at a modest rate. I am enraged by the allegations against him being racist. As I mentioned we've known him 25 years and know he would never harass someone and have never heard him say a racist word. My husband and children are Chinese. Through the years we have discussed differences between my hubby's heritage and American culture, but never anything disrespectful. Chad has worked hard for years to build a great auto shop. He is a good person that would never harass a customer. If you're looking for a good mechanic who is honest, Chad is the person you're looking for.

Clearly there are two types of people posting reviews those whom use Chad as a mechanic and those who have not but are scum and are leaving 1 star reviews stating Chad is racist with no first hand knowledge of the man. Chad does quality work at a reasonable price beating dealership prices. You can trust he'll look out for your best interest.

I've actually taken my car to this mechanic and have found him to be very honest. I believe he's a good man, not a racist. The many fake reviews on here seem to be from some misguided group-think.
