Art Haus has this amazing opportunity for artists to create during their open studio time—which is any time they are open and do not have a class scheduled. It was amazing to find an environment to create and have access to tools, items, and other art supplies that normally the artist would have to buy on their own. It’s helped me continue to create, while taking advantage of their reasonably priced Open Studio monthly pass.
It is also great to connect with other artists to see what they are working on and creating during their studio time.

I’ve been here a couple of times with friends and family, both here and in the old location of the pottery studio. The building is large, with a few different areas set apart depending on how one wants to spend their time there.

We painted pottery the times I visited Arthaus. There was a good selection of items to paint, along with various colors and types of paint used for this purpose. I’ve always been disappointed with the quality of paintbrushes at these places, and Arthaus wasn’t any different. Next time I go, I’ll bring my own.

There’s a pottery wheel and clay available in a continuous area. Also on the street side if the building, which is lined with windows, is a gallery containing many types of art. These are available fir purchase.

The other side of the building is filled with materials for drawing, painting, pastels, etc. It’s a very large room and seems to be stocked very well.

Arthaus offers classes, some of which I’d be very interested in taking. Sadly, many of them are on Saturdays. As a religious Jew, I need to take classes that aren’t on my Sabbath. I believe that the people who work at Arthaus can give some teaching about the use of the pottery wheel, etc., but that depends on who is there at the time and whether they are busy with other work at the time.

I try to remember to check the website every so often for the few classes that might be available to me. If I had more time, I’d even become a member. Alas!
