I started playing guitar several years ago but found I plateaued quickly. Bill has been great, he has taken my guitar to a new level. He is providing me with the missing pieces. I don't really consider him my guitar teacher, he's my music teacher. He has a broad knowledge of music that include all genres of music old and new.

Learning to play the guitar has always been on my bucket list. To say that I got a late start is more than an understatement. My sister finally gave me lessons for my birthday and that is when I met Bill. He is not only my teacher and mentor, he has become my friend. He has shown me that you can teach an old dog new tricks. He has taught me the theory behind the instrument and music. Because of his patience, he has helped developed my desire to persevere. His playing ability is phenomenal and he has the ability to articulate these skills in a masterful way. I am fortunate to know Bill as a teacher and a friend. Bill, in my opinion, is second to none.

Bill is a great teacher. He always has new challenges for me, each of which is intended to work on a different part of my guitar skills. I’ve been taking lessons for five months now and have learned so many “pro” tips it’s incredible. He focuses on everything from hand positions to rhythm to scales and sometimes just learning a fun song!

I have been a student of Bill's for a little over a year and as an adult who is learning to play guitar for the first time it has been a great experience. Bill is a talented musician and a great teacher with a contagious passion for music. He continues to work me with at my pace and level but also seems to know when it is time to push my forward. I am enjoying the experience and would recommend him to anyone from young students to the more mature students who are interested in learning. You will not be disappointed.

Learn what you want, when you want to learn it. Exceptional teachers are flexible and Bill is the best. He will provide the framework for you to reach your goals but I really appreciate how he answers every question I throw at him even if it takes us in a different direction. As a student who needs to understand the theory behind what I am learning, I take comfort in the fact that Bill knows it and more importantly can explain it to me. I tell him what I want to learn and what I want to understand and he is more than happy to help me progress. Bill is fun to talk to and will show a genuine interest in your guitar journey.

I've been to lots of guitar teachers over the years, but Bill takes the cake. He not only is an excellent musician, but he also is a very good teacher. Every lesson I take from Bill he always has supportive materials to help me understand concepts and practice during the week. As a performer he understands what it's like to perform and can see it from that perspective as well. I think Bill is the best guitar instructor in town!

I have been taking lessons with Bill for almost 2 years after looking at a couple of other instructors. He is a great professionally trained mucisian who makes the lessons fun by moving at the pace of the student. I did not have the coordination play a single note when I first started and can now play several songs. He made sure to do exercises to get the dexterity down and then moved on to songs (he provides transcripts) mixed in with strong theory to make sure I didn't get discouraged or bored. Half the battle when learning the guitar is not getting discouraged because it can be a frustrating instrument. Bill helped me have fun playing.

Bill is a master musician, an excellent teacher, and wonderful conversationalist; but more importantly his lessons and enthusiasm for teaching, music theory, and most genres of music helped me realize my own love for playing music. His library of song tablature and outside-the-box ideas are second to none; and his ability to communicate and help translate the lessons clearly to the student is a godsend for those of us who have trouble learning. I would heartily recommend this man to anyone who is looking for a guitar teacher. Bill's rates are exceptionally reasonable, and his willingness to schedule around his students' various accidents, schooling, illnesses, etc. make him one of the most available and compassionate people I know.
