Me and my buddy just finished the level 1 rifle course, and let me tell you , the level of information, training, atmosphere and professionalism I experienced in this class was world class. The attention to detail, and amount of skills taught was far FAR above what I had expected!!! The instructors were very clear and detailed and payed expert attention to all levels of safety through the course. For $150 it was an absolute banger and just flat out fun as well!!! I will be back to take all of their other courses that they offer!

An absolutely amazing class! Took rifle 1 with these guys and am already signing up for 2 more courses. Very safe and well thought out experience. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to be more prepared to defend themselves or their family.

I have been curious about using firearms but have never had any real exposure to them. I mainly wanted to educate, build some confidence and challenge myself. I am so glad I stumbled upon Indiana Firearms Training.

Classes offered here teach you so much, with emphasis on responsible firearm handling and safety. John is the best, an amazing instructor! He is very patient and has a lot of knowledge and experience. The classes are fun and can apply to all levels of experience.

I’ve taken four classes so far and will continue coming back. I feel comfortable trusting that these classes will continue to develop and refine my skills. Pretty sure I’ve discovered a new hobby. Whether you’re new to firearms or just need to brush up on some skills, definitely consider taking a class here. Above and beyond worth it!

I'm someone who didn't know anything about guns and had never been around people that carry them before. I took the intro handgun course because I want to protect my family and to see if it would be right for me.

I'm glad I did. John and Laura are professional, engaging, and knowledgeable. I learned how guns work, how they can mess up, and most importantly, how to safely handle them. The rules made sense. John emphasized how important it is to not just know them, but follow them and learn how to spot those that don't. There were many cautionary tales, pro-tips, and ways to practice without actually holding a weapon. By the end of the class, I fired several different handguns and ammunition at a range, which dispelled most of my anxieties about them.

At first, I felt like the only newbie in the room, but it was actually wonderful to see so many people in this community take (and retake) John and Laura's courses to improve themselves and hone their skills.

I'm definitely going to take another class. 🙂

As a" Gun Guy "I have been around firearms my whole life. I own several, several firearms. Yes lets say hundreds! So I know my way around a firearm. However, my sons bought this course for me as a gift as well as for themselves. At first, I thought well it will be at least good for them! Wow was I wrong! FIRST OFF MOST IMPORTANT A very SAFE instruction period was given to us! Never did I feel as if I was in danger nor did I feel like I was treated like a new gun guy! Very impressive real-time knowledge in a class setting with laser training first, then shooting while moving and at different targets at the range. Yes that was incredible and SAFE as both rangers were with us as we advanced toward the target! I just cant say enough good! Thanks to John and John for a GREAT day! Oh yes and questions are encouraged! And yes not theory but you practice what they preach!

I have taken two classes with Indiana Firearms Training (Handgun 1 and 2). Instructor John Michaels and his sister Laura were fantastic instructors. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I had some familiarity with firearms before attending the trainings, but these courses took my knowledge, confidence, and consistency to the next level. I would recommend USCCA courses through IFT to anyone with even a slight interest in firearms safety and technique. These courses are top notch and do not disappoint. From in-class education to hands on instruction these classes have it all. Thanks again IFT for sharing your passion for firearms training and commitment to safety/instruction with all of us!

I have taken several classes with Indiana Firearms Training. As an older woman with no experience I have to say that John the owner and lead instructor has been extremely supportive, kind and encouraging. I have taken some training in the past from a local gun store that was haphazard and left me pretty skittish. John is a wealth of information and insight. I believe that he is able to teach you as far as you want to go. With free class repeats and all of the individual help you receive the cost value is well worth it. I would even pay more for the class but don’t tell John that I said that.
