I can’t say enough about the incredible experience my daughter has had here. As a parent, I’ve seen her grow not only in skill but also in confidence and discipline. The instructors are fantastic, creating a welcoming environment where kids can learn at their own pace while still being challenged.

My experience with BFMA has been stellar. For many years I have felt compelled to challenge myself by learning a discipline. I was not set on what discipline that would be but I knew I wanted to try to become better and more knowledgeable in self defense. One day, my path crossed with Mrs Bosstick and she encouraged me to come "check em out".
I utilized my free 2 weeks of training and found myself really enjoying this new discipline. I am now in month 5 of my training, I have progressed a few belts, developed friendships with numerous other students and their families and find myself embracing the learning and the challenges that this discipline provide for me. I have yet to leave a class and not have a smile on my face and feel very confident about the investment I just made in myself and my family.
Make no mistake, this is an investment, and depending on your situation, you might feel like it is a really big investment.
HOWEVER, I would encourage you this way, is there a more noble or important investment that you can make? To invest in yourself or your childs foundation of respect, discipline, toughness, an "I can" attitude, committment, being challenged, developing relationships and friendships....for myself and the season of life I am currently in, this is a wise investment and one that I know has and will continue to pay dividends for the rest of my life.

(our kids played a ton of "travel sports" through the years and I can ASSURE you that I would have been much happier as a parent to invest in this type of discipline and sport than the typical ones our kids participated in (basketball, baseball, etc)) And I promise you between the team fees, the hotels, the uniform expenses, the gas, the fod, etc, the investment we made in those travel sports was just as costly if not much HIGHER than the investment we are making now. Not to mention, this investment is creating and building real tangible life skills and no one has to worry about sitting the bench or playing time!

The young adults who teach most of the classes are great! Unfortunately, the pricing model is predatory. $250/month for 8 hours is the most expensive training I have ever seen. They don't tell you the price up front, and instead bait you into a 3 to 6-month contract that cannot be voided. Find a more honest dojo!

My kids just love the instructors they are kind and really care about their students. I can't recommend the martial arts program enough, this along with their summer camp and after school program was a life saver for my family.

I love martial arts at Bloomington ATA. We were amazed and shocked… in the best way possible!! The instructors are the best in any kids activity anywhere! My son has mild autism - started at 3 years old - and he's now 15. He has blossomed into a strong, confident leader. He's a starter on his football team and track... just got all A's in high school his freshman year... and has lot's of friends.

Without it I don't know where he would be! Thanks!

Bloomington family Martial arts is an amazing company my son has been in it now for not too long but he is done really good he is on his third belt and he's really enjoying the company. He has learned tons of stuff. I would recommend it to anyone young and old. You will truly amazed at what you will learn. And from a parent it's awesome to hear your child saying yes ma'am, no ma'am and even yes sir, no sir. And a braid that the children will present themselves after just a little while is simply amazing. And that stuff they have is one of a kind and very understanding and very caring and works great with children of all ages and even children with special.
