This place was highly recommended to me for piano lessons for my 5 year old son but unfortunately I had a disappointing experience. I was assured they can teach kids as young as 4, and my child was very interested, however after 2 trial lessons the instructor refused to teach my son again until he is older. Instructor said he’ll send book listings to learn at home (he never did) and he’ll get in touch by august when the academic year starts to try again (I’m still waiting). My son really wanted to learn so I took him to another music school and the teacher is definitely better and my son is thriving!

Our son has grown so much at Rochester Conservatory of Music. The school offers more than just lessons—it gives him the chance to take part in recitals, workshops, and events like the Michigan Music Festival, where he can get professional feedback on his progress. Ms. Ania, his teacher, brings an amazing depth of knowledge and truly cares about his development, not just as a pianist but as a musician who feels and understands the music. We also love how welcoming and family-like the atmosphere is here. It’s been a great experience for our whole family.

Our daughter absolutely loves it here. Teaching and support for our daughter's vocal education is just excellent. From recitals to workshops, the conservatory offers a well rounded program for musical development. They are also nice!!! Communication is wonderful. We are just pleased to be a part of the Rochester Conservatory of Music!

Great teachers and professionally run school! The recital performances are a great way to see what all the students have learned and how they progressed over time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning to play an instrument or sing!

I am an adult guitar student who has been taking lessons for about 4.5 years. My teachers, first Jessica and now Meghana, have been excellent. They have been encouraging and skillful at teaching me the basics of playing the guitar and advancing me steadily. They also helped teach me music theory, which is very useful in understanding the music. I also find the performance workshops and recital opportunities help me gain confidence at playing before audiences. I highly recommend the Rochester Conservatory of Music.

RCM is the absolute best! Our daughter is the student of an amazing vocal instructor, who has helped her grow beyond our expectations. Under her direction, our daughter has gained performance skills, confidence and immeasurable technique. The Conservatory has given her multiple performance opportunities to sharpen her skills, and the recitals are terrific! We could not be more pleased and the return on investment is remarkable. Can't recommend it enough...we are thrilled with our experience!

My son has been taking piano for a couple years. And my daughter started voice about six months ago. The teachers are great and the programs are well organized. Lessons are complimented with occasional music theory class and performance workshops to help build confidence in front of a crowd (a good skill for life). Such a great program!!

I have met many of the staff here and they are all expert and highly encouraging. My singing teacher Rachel is excellent, friendly, and seems highly invested in my improvement. The conservatory has frequent performance workshops where instructors give encouragement and constructive feedback. Highly recommend!
