The Michigan Actors Studio is truly amazing! They offer a wide variety of classes led by expert instructors who ensure everyone feels involved and encouraged, regardless of experience level. I’ve had the privilege of taking classes with Kate Peckham and Rico Bruce Wade, and I can’t recommend them enough. Their dedication and genuine care for the students creates a great atmosphere. I initially joined to step out of my comfort zone and connect with other creative people, and it’s been such a fun and rewarding experience! What a great place! I took the class "Intro Into Voice Acting" with Lisa and loved every minute of it. If you have ANY interest or curiosity about pursing voice acting I would absolutely recommend this class. Lisa is a great instructor who coaches you in an intimate setting in a group of with other students. She works well with everyone, whether you're shy, have stage fright, or you're the life of the party. You'll learn the basics of voice acting, the path it can take you on, and you'll be able to practice your craft in class every week. Stop reading this review and just sign up! Take the leap! Kate and everyone else at Michigan Actor’s Studio are absolutely wonderful to work with. They help students to stay engaged, and also make you feel safe to express yourself. Would personally recommend anyone to take a course at the studio!

Lisa (Intro to Voice Acting) was incredible!! Each week was a treat and left me wanting more. She makes learning and experimenting with the art form such a fun experience. I was so sad when our 6 weeks ended. But I'll definitely be back, because she's a wealth of knowledge. If you're considering signing up, go for it!

I have taken many classes at Michigan Actor’s Studio over the years which has helped me in my development as a performer and also as a person. The instructors are very friendly and supportive, providing an engaging learning atmosphere and help you as you try new things out. The classmates have been supportive too, and it doesn’t matter what level you are at, just beginning or have had some or a lot of experience.

Introduction to Acting:
I wasn’t sure what to expect but having had all the VO classes multiple times and from great instructors I felt it was now time to dive in and give acting a try. I was not disappointed as our instructor, K.K., would let us start with our own interpretation of the various scripts and then she would guide us in a different direction. It was amazing to watch everyone in class, including myself, as we improved week after week. I now have an appreciation for acts and plays I never thought about previously. I see things a little differently now. This is all thanks to an instructor (Karen Kron Dickson) who has experience and knows how to get more out of each person. I can’t wait for more advanced classes.

I recently took Michigan Actor's Studio's class: Acting for Film. Having no acting training, it was all very new to me. I recommend this class to anyone looking to further their acting skills and get more comfortable in front of the camera. The teacher Emilio was great. Every week he brought a ton of energy and his experience to the group. It was a lot of fun and I met some great people along the way. I highly recommend!
