My daughters completely fell in love with Irish dance and it is all due to the amazing program that Bridget and her sisters have created at Murphy Academy. The programs have not only given them the opportunity to learn the dance steps but it has given them so many other experiences such as travel, community involvement and life long friendships. If you are looking for a nurturing class environment with amazing role models, Murphy Academy is IT!

Our two daughters have been dancing with the Murphy family since the school began. The Murphy’s have provided a loving, caring environment for our girls to learn Irish Dance but what they are really learning is so much more than jigs and reels.

Our girls are learning to listen better, to work as a team, and to trust in the guidance their teachers have given them. They are learning to have the confidence to get up on a stage and dance in front of crowds of people and that sometimes you win, and that sometimes you don’t.

Our goal in having them here isn’t to be champions, if it happens it would certainly be nice, but it’s more likely they will just dance. Far more important to our family is that the Murphy’s are helping teach our girls things that they will take with them long after their dancing days are over.

The owners of this school are fantastic. They do everything possible to make the classes a great experience for the kids. Even during the pandemic when everything was shut down they still found a way to be creative and keep dance in the students schedules. Not to mention their new studio is awesome!

The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra would like to thank the Murphy Academy of Irish Dance for their role in making our 40th anniversary Holidays Pops Concert at Mechanics Hall a memorable event. The talent of the dancers/leadership and the quality of the dresses/hair were consistent with what is required to perform at a high level but it’s their agility and customer centered attitude that will keep them there for many years to come. The academy recently opened a studio in a new location. I have been so happy with my experiences at their other studio and I’m looking forward to many more positive experiences at the new studio. It looks beautiful and spacious. The staff is top notch as always!
