This school really helped shape me as a person, MOST of the teachers are very caring and understanding toward their students and love what they do. SST staff go above and beyond for students- shout out Mrs. Jones, who helped me tremendously through a horrible time in my home life. Anti-bullying environment, safe space. Helped me to grow as an artist tremendously. -1 star because the higher up staff (principles, vice principles etc.) are horrible to their students and lack compassion and empathy.

Great art teachers. Once you get into senior or junior year you get like 2 hours and 15 minutes all for art. People hating are literally just mad they never got a lead role or just bad grades, Which ofcourse this school has its fair share of bad teachers but so does others.. In reality this school has helped me actually find my artistic voice, skill, and style.

EDIT: After graduating, I can say with confidence that this is one of the best schools in Buffalo. This school, due wholly to it's amazing and caring staff, has went above to show that they truly care and, without a doubt, love their students. From the cafeteria workers to Mr. George; the janitorial staff and the security guards- every member of staff works to give this school it's unique atmosphere. There are few schools like this one, and there is no school I would have rather gone to. Thank you, BAVPA, for your big, big part in shaping into the person I am today.

I went here and if you went there you would understand my rating. To the average person just coming in it's a lot different then what it's actually like there as a student. It might not be the same to someone there two years prior to 2017 but when I got there in 2015 it was not somewhere I'd send my own child. That may sound harsh but it's just what I've acquired in my personal experience there.

I've Been At This School For About 5 Years now and I have nothing but good things to say about this school. I don't know if I've ever seen teachers work so hard to get students to where they need to be. Definitely gonna miss coming here once my time is done here

Wish I could rate this zero stars. Terrible school. Staff isn't empathetic or understanding. If you're a visual arts major, then I'm sorry cause it's the worst major to pick. Teachers move too fast.
