We love class at Rise Up Dance Community! Ms. Dee is the best - friendly, welcoming, and such a fantastic teacher. My daughter is taking classes there and I’m taking an adult class, and we both love it! Can’t recommend this dance school enough!!

I absolutely love Dee! She is not only my friend, but she's also the reason I started dancing! I always wanted to dance but felt that I missed my opportunity because I didn't start at a young age. With her encouragement, I started dancing at 18 years old and haven't stopped since!

When I saw that Dee opened her own dance studio, I was over the moon excited for her! She fosters an environment of acceptance and positivity where EVERYONE can feel welcome! I truly believe that she is going to make an AMAZING impact on the dance community! <3

Our 3.5-year-old son started in Ms. Dee's hip hop class this fall and loves it! He has a speech delay but loves to be active, and it's been great that dance isn't reliant on his ability/inability to speak at all. He is happy to "dance with my friends!" every Saturday and come home and show off what he has learned. The class is fun and inviting and doesn't seem to be intimidating or intense for the 3-5 year old kids. Ms. Dee does a great job along with her team of essentially "herding cats." She also has incorporated books about dance and learning " He came home one day with a drawing that showed he was "learning footwork patterns. (see attached)" It's a lot of work to run a dance studio and Ms. Dee is putting her whole heart into it! I would absolutely recommend signing up your kiddos!

My 7 year old and 4 year old attend rise. Ms. Dee makes dance fun and allows the kids to express themselves. My daughter is beginning to practice at home because she loves it and looks forward to performing her routine. I think it has helped her not care what other people think and just dance! My son wanted to do hip hop so he just likes to go and have fun.

My 5 year old is in her 2nd year of tap/ballet at Rise Up. Ms. Dee does a great job with the kids and they all love her. My favorite thing about the classes is that Ms. Dee doesn’t just focus on dance, she also works with the kids on confidence and positive self-image. The inclusivity is a breath of fresh air.

Rise Up Dance Community has been an absolutely perfect first dance class experience for my 4yo boy and 5yo girl. The teachers are phenomenal, and the relatively laid-back experience is perfect for kids who are just starting out to move their bodies and learn some new steps, without too much pressure. Both kids are always excited to go to dance class every week - they just love it. We can't wait to see their first performance and "secret surprise dance" at the Winter Showcase!
