I've been a student at Repose since moving to Newburyport 10+ years ago. Repose is a wonderful studio with knowledgeable and creative teachers. The studio space is bright and clean. Gin, the owner, is always warm and welcoming! I feel supported by my fellow students and a part of a lovely yoga community!  I look forward to many more classes there!

"Repose" is an apt name for this wonderful yoga studio as that is exactly how I feel after each class—a delicious blend of tranquility and balance/poise.

What makes Repose truly special are all of the great instructors. While they each have their own unique and effective way of teaching (from very gentle to more intense classes), they all share a similar approach in making their classes accessible, enjoyable, and welcoming to all. In particular, I greatly appreciate how they all emphasize the importance of focusing on how one feels in each pose, not how one looks.

I've been attending classes 2-3 times per week at Repose now for a little over a year and always leave feeling lighter, more at ease in my body, and with a smile on my face. I couldn't imagine a better community of caring teachers and enthusiastic students to practice with.

Yoga with Gin at Repose has become a constant in my life that I look forward to when I'm not there and cherish when I am. Gin's classes offer so much more than the expected, conventional vinyasa flows. Each class offers a new and different twist or focus area. Gin takes us on a journey, as she continuously evolves her practice, to both strengthen and stretch our bodies often through subtle and micro movements. Her classes are a sweet balance of intellectual, spiritual, and physical. While I leave feeling refreshed, challenged, and energized, most times I wish I could stay all day long and continue my practice. I often do linger and ask Gin questions which she graciously and patiently answers. I have learned so much from Gin and have improved my form and understanding of the human body. Repose has several instructors, each with their own style. Kerrie's classes are playful and creative. Cathy's soothing and restorative. Marianne's energetic and upbeat. I have enjoyed trying classes with all of the teachers and have had wonderful experiences. There are also exciting workshops and pop ups offered throughout the year. In addition, great deals and pricing make this studio accessible and welcoming. Our community is so lucky to have this one of a kind yoga studio. I have met so many kind and friendly people on the mat at Repose and I can't imagine life without it!

I went to my first yoga class at Repose on Saturday. It was a great experience. However, I just realized some time later that this session 'fixed' a painful hip muscle issue that I had for some time. You guys are awesome!!
