My wife and I arrived as newcomers at Merri Mar At 7:00 pm with our 35 ft 2001 dual diesel powerboat behind a Sea Tow after a boisterous cruise from Rhode Island and only one engine running. Jay lll , VP & General Manager hopped onboard at 8:00 pm diagnosed the problem and had a mechanic onboard carrying out repairs by 9:00 am the following day. Repairs were expertly completed that same day so we could continue our cruise. We cannot recommend this 3rd generation family-owned boatyard highly enough and it’s very personable staff are a rare and most welcome find .

This Boat Yard is outstanding! The professionalism, the efficiency, the customer service.. EVERYTHING about the Merri-Mar is fantastic! I was referred to this boat yard to step my mast and launch my sailboat and I’m so happy to have been sent their way! Jay the 3rd was a lifesaver, turning what was looking to be a nightmare into such a smooth transition it was like a dream. They literally fit me into their busy schedule and made it happen. No hassle, no headache, no wait. The office staff is so nice, and everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. Great place! The boaters that get to have their boats there for the season are quite lucky indeed. Thank you, Jay!!!

Zero stars! I tried buying a boat from these people and I found them to be very unprofessional. They dragged their feet to get the boat in the water. This boat was advertised as "sail ready" and then when we went out on the sea trial there were numerous things wrong and broken about the boat. I was disgusted because they obviously made no effort to truly get the boat ready and testing it before I went to look at it. The sea trial was so bad that we didn't even get to do any sailing and had to turn around! Again, this boat was advertised as "sail ready" but it was anything but. It didn't even have a lot of the basic safety items necessary. I made it perfectly clear that the boat seller would need to get these repairs done. Then the slime-ball boat broker actually had the nerve to ask me if I wanted the seller to fix these repairs! What does "sail ready" mean Then the slime-ball told me that the boat was fixed but it wasn't and reversed his answer the next day and actually had the audacity to be rude to me. It was painfully obvious throughout this whole thing that this marina couldn't care less about me buying this boat. It was awful. They cost me thousands of dollars. They thought that I was just going to buy a broken. Unbelievable!

Guys are top notch. Unbelievably kept facility with phenomenal equipment. They are beyond talented. Very Knowledgeable and always willing to lend their expertise with a smile. They’re not your regular run-of-the-mill Marine mechanics, There is nothing those guys cant fabricate or do, Some unbelievable work and real displays of talent come out of that place. The guy at the parts desk is a brain, Don’t let All the credentials on the wall convince you, Talk to him and you’ll understand how very knowledgeable he is. Great place, great people, always very kind and respectful, highly recommended

This place is professional, honest and extremely easy to work with. Billy is a parts mastermind and well versed. The owner is great, friendly and truly cares. The prices are fair. I will only use Merri Mar yacht Basin for my boat needs. Keep up the great work guys you have earned the future business of another customer.
