I love the Lakewood studio and every single one of its teachers. I also truly value all of the students and the opportunities we have to interact with each other and share our joy. I cannot recommend Lakewood studio more highly. All the instructors are amazingly talented, dedicated, and knowledgeable. They are thoughtful, generous, and very flexible with my schedule. That’s pretty important, since I come to the studio from Longmont and regularly have issues with traffic. They are just lovely human beings, Thank you to Morris and to the team!

We started with a Groupon and added on some extra private lessons in preparation for our wedding. We were with Erika, and she was absolutely lovely. She taught us basic moves for a foxtrot, and choreographed a great dance for us. She hyped us up every step of the way. We can’t wait to show off our new dance moves, and definitely recommend taking lessons here.

We worked with Logan to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. Not only did he knock it out of the park with his incredible knowledge, but he made the experience extremely fun and memorable! He took us from flat-footed chimpanzees with no tempo to graceful ballroom dancers. Working with Logan was one of the most memorable parts of our wedding ramp up. We also did a group dance with our bridal party which Logan accommodated and taught with gusto and pizzazz. He helped us create memories that will last a lifetime. Could not recommend him more!!!

At the Lakewood Arthur Murray dance studio I have gained new skills and a circle of kind supportive friends. You can learn dance lots of places but this studio feels like home!! This place is the best! My fiancé and I had no dance experience and we’ve had a blast taking private lessons with Zach. It started out as a checklist item for the wedding but we’ve had such a good time and gotten so much better that we’re going to continue even after the wedding is over. We haven’t taken lessons with any of the other teachers but we’ve met many of them and they all seem great. Can’t recommend enough!

Arthur Murray Lakewood is the best place to learn partner dancing in all of Colorado, and probably the entire Front Range. Nearly every year, this studio is awarded as one of the best Arthur Murray studios in the world, and they have a lot of competition. Private dance lessons are expensive, but at this studio they're worth every penny.

The newest member of the staff, Holly, was a competitive smooth dancer before joining the team. She is already a great teacher, and will only get better as she learns from her colleagues. She can teach you the basics of every dance out there (just like every member of the staff), but she has particularly deep expertise in Waltz, Tango, and Foxtrot.

Next is Zach, who is so well-favored you may find it difficult to get a lesson with him! He particularly loves Country Western, Swing, and Club dances, but seems to have deep knowledge of nearly every dance out there. Seek him out for choreography (especially in his favored dances), and advice with leading and following.

Erika is my primary teacher. She is an expert at nearly every dance, but an absolute master of the Latin dances. I particularly recommend her if you have a dance that feels good but you want to take it to the next level. Her advice with technique is extremely good, and her advice on styling is second to none.

Logan is the dark horse. Unless you want lessons in a dance that the others don't specialize in (e.g. Argentine Tango), you're unlikely to take lessons with him until you get into full bronze or silver. Ask him for advice every time you get a chance, and *treasure* it.

Finally there's the owner, Morris, who makes it all possible. Morris also owns the Arthur Murray studios in Denver and Castle Rock, both of which are almost as good as Lakewood. He doesn't give lessons, but if you decide to go competitive, Morris will give you all the coaching and advice you need to take that route.

Whether you want to dance for a wedding or dance for a career, Arthur Murray Lakewood will give you what you need. They have no gaps, they have no weaknesses, and you are guaranteed to learn new and unexpected things in every lesson you take. My mom travels here from Longmont--during rush hour--multiple times per week, partly to dance with me but mostly because the teaching here is just that much better than elsewhere. I cannot recommend this studio enough.

The Arthur Murray Lakewood is by far the best dance studio that my partner and I visited when we were looking to start taking ballroom dance. We've danced before (ballet and Lindy Hop) and were quite picky. The teachers, and students at Lakewood were and have been incredibly welcoming and have made dancing there an absolute joy. It feels like friends inviting us into their home every time we are there.

All the teachers are helpful and take an interest in all of the students, whether they are their primary teachers or not. It's very warm and personal, which keeps people coming back. They are also incredibly skilled and I feel like it is worth it to drive from North Boulder down to Lakewood for dance classes. The students have built up a wonderful community as well, and they love newcomers!

Lakewood is by far the best ballroom studio that I have ever been to, with quality instruction and a wonderful atmosphere.
