This yard goes above and beyond to make sure the job is perfect before the boat leaves the yard. The owner/ manager Brad carefully listened to our issues, then test drove the boat to fully diagnose the problems, then test drove it again before delivering a completed job. He even explained the options and helped us make informed choices for our well loved boat. This is by far the most professional marine diesel service yard and crew on the East Coast.

I called Niemiec Marine to ask about getting some engine parts shipped- unfortunately I was outside of their sales territory and so they weren't allowed to ship the parts I wanted. However, they were very helpful in providing info for where I could find what I needed, which was greatly appreciated.

Excellant place to get marine engine parts. They have everything and know it all. Great service. We broke down and needed a raw water pump for our 1981 Yanmar 2gm. They had it in stock....wow!!

Fantastic operation with a great selection of parts in stock and the nicest staff you can imagine. My interactions with the service department and parts were great. Unfortunately their schedule was a bit backed up but they allowed me to bring my boat to their dock and recommended an outside contractor to help me with a fuel issue they didn’t have time to take care of. Parts department got me set up with everything I needed including parts for Yanmar and Parker-Racor. Prices were not discount but were fair and in line with what you’d pay from any authorized dealer. The service and advice is priceless and saves you money in the long run.

I dropped off 2 intercooler cores to be cleaned and two heat exchangers to be pressure checked. The intercoolers came out good, great job there, but both my heat exchangers pressure tested bad, leaking internally. Their parts department ordered me two new exchangers, quoted me a price, I paid in full up front. When I picked up the intercooler cores and old, no good, heat exchangers, I was charged for all new zincs and end cap gaskets for two exchangers that were no good. ( kinda like bringing your tire to be checked out and getting it back patched, being told the tire is no good and getting charged for the patch on a tire that they said was no good) When I went back down to pick up the two new heat exchangers, that they had me pay for in full, up front (totally fine with and understand that as it was a $6800 order, they hit me with another $220 freight charge.
If you use them for parts i would recommend that you make sure they tell you full price including any other possible charges like freight. Usually when you’re asked to pay for something up front, and in full, in full typically includes ALL charges. If you use them for a cooler inspection I would recommend you specifically tell them to pressure test first to verify that your cooler is in fact not leaking internally and worth them going forward with cleaning and zinc/gasket replacement. Otherwise you’ll have two, bad coolers that are cleaned out with new zincs and end cap gaskets for the scrap yard.
I gave 3 stars because the intercoolers did come back thoroughly clean after their cleaning service and the new exchangers were ready when in the time frame that they said.

Niemiec repowered my boat with cummins ten years ago and I have racked up over 1,000 trouble free hours. Each year I call into the parts department and they ship me filters, zincs, belts, pumps, etc. to my location in CT. This year they recommended ultrasonically cleaning and pressure testing my heat exchangers. I brought them the heat exchangers and they turned them around in a week. These guys give great advice and great service! They are the best!!

Needed a part for a 30+ year old Yanmar diesel and they had it, no problem. A little hard to find if you don't know the area, but well worth it. The guys behind the counter were knowledgeable and very helpful. It's the place to go for marine parts!
