This review is long overdue, but better late than never. My husband, Conor, and I wanted to take a few dance lessons prior to our wedding so we weren't stepping on each other's toes during our first dance. John & Nika were incredible teachers. Neither of us had any dance experience - they taught us the basics (bait & hook pictured, haha) and helped us choreograph a dance to our song. I am so grateful for their expertise! We had a great time working with them and our first dance was a success. I highly recommend Studio One RI!

I learned to dance at Studio One. I met my dance instructor at Studio One. I was able to raise money through the Dancing with the Doctors charity through Studio One. And I have made great friends through Studio One. It is truly a great dance Studio with great instructors and great people. Thank you John and Dee Soares.

I've been at many dance Studios, but this one has the nicest friendliest dance instructors, the most relaxing atmosphere and the most beautiful ballroom with cathedral ceilings and huge windows. People are coming to the studio from all walks of life to learn how to dance to create a wonderful friendly dance community. It's welcoming to all who enter for learning how to dance or to attend social dance parties.
I love this studio and every week look forward to enjoying dance lessons and social dancing.

Studio one is an excellent studio where anyone can improve their dancing. Whether you are a beginner who has never danced before, an intermediate who is interested in improving their skills or trying competitive dance this is the place for you! They offer All styles of Ballroom and Country Dancing and have wonderful youth and adult programs. You can join a group class or sign up to learn even faster with one of the amazing team of dance teachers. (No partner is required) The staff is talented and friendly and from the time you walk in the door you will feel welcome. There is a competition team for those who like to compete and social dances every Friday for those who just want to practice their steps. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed!

Studio One is my "home away from home" dance studio.  John and Dee Soares, together with their fabulous instructors are amazing. (Their longevity in Lincoln, RI speaks for itself and you'll realize you are with seasoned, professional people who have trained for years to give you the best dancing at a variety of levels.) If you are just starting out, or advanced, there are classes (group and private) for you to continue learning, and have a great time. Whether you want to learn ballroom or country, Studio One can accommodate you. It's not just a place to dance, it's a "family" and you'll feel at home in no time!

First of all, we would like to say that we never expected how positive of an impact ballroom dancing would be for our daughter. She has been dancing at Studio One for almost 3yrs. Started with junior ballroom classes and now dancing country ballroom competitively. Studio One is always a welcoming environment for her. She is challenged and encouraged at every lesson in a professional atmosphere. John, Dee, and Jiri have always gone above and beyond to support her in being the best dancer she can be. If you are looking for an activity for your child, we highly recommended Studio One for ballroom dancing.

Studio One is a gem of an independent dance studio. The owners, John and Dee, offer professional training in both ballroom and country-western style dancing to both beginners and advanced students in a no-pressure, welcoming atmosphere. I'm a ballroom dancer who's learning country-western and lovin' it! Come join us for Friday night dances in the studio's beautiful, large main ballroom. We have been dancing and taking lessons at Studio One for 8 years. They have strong team of instructors, John, Dee, Jiri, Giancarlo and Joanne. They offer all styles of Ballroom and Country dancing, they have group lessons for Beginner, Intermediate and Advance levels along with Private lessons.
We have a lot of fun and made many friends there, it is a very friendly and nice place to be.
