A couple years ago we signed up my two daughters to try acting in the Broadway Bound program with St Pete MAD in a performance of Polar Express. As someone with little to no theater experience I didn’t know what to expect. From the very first rehearsal I noticed a change in both of my girls as I watched them become more and more confident and they immersed themselves in this program. Fast forward a few years and both of them have not missed a single play since with St Pete MAD and we are getting ready for our 10th play, The Addams Family!
To say that this program has changed our families lives is an understatement. This is literally all my kids
talk about and every single one of their friends now are from the friends they have made on stage. From Dru’s overall vision to the excellent vocal coaching they receive with Margaret to the acting, choreography and dance instruction they receive from all of the talented directors, this program has it all.
We are so excited that St Pete MAD has gotten their own space in GulfPort and we are all in on the future of this program. Thank you St Pete MAD for being a beacon of light for my kids!

Very fun camps! I went there when I was younger and the camps were very unique and fun. I feel like they could do a bit of a better job with marketing and answering phones though. They’re only open once or twice a week which makes it hard to reach out and inquire about services. Also, some camps weren’t quite as advertised. Further, throughout the 4 camps I did there, I felt it was obvious they showed favoritism towards returning students. During auditions, instructors were more attentive to prior students and took them more seriously. Overall, great services and camps!

We came to St. Pete Mad for the spring production of 101 Dalmations in 2022. We had seen some friends posting about a previous production and thought it looked like something our daughter would be interested in. Fast forward a year and our daughter is now rehearsing for her fourth MAD production, Legally Blond, Jr. It has been a total game-changer for her and our family. She loved it from the very first minute of the audition process, through the rehearsals, and the performances. Most of her friend group is now from MAD, and she comes home giddy from every rehearsal. From a parent's perspective, what we have been so impressed with is the level of professionalism displayed in every aspect of the program. From very clear instructions about the audition process, through a well-organized schedule of rehearsals, down to the high-level of production value of the performances, every thing is well thought out and curated. What we love as parents is that there is routine, stability, and a high level of expectation, but also flexibility and warmth from the staff. We are consistently impressed with the amount our daughter is learning about the world of theater, and how happy she is with the friends she has made. Great attention is paid to not only the "mechanics" of performing, but also to the importance of community, and treating others with love and respect. It is a special thing they have created at St. Pete Mad, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

St. Pete Music, Acting and Dance, formerly known as Play Performing Arts Studio has grown so much in the last year, as much as it has grown my daughter's talents in the arts of song writing, acting, dancing and singing. It is a family owned studio where you instantly become one of the family upon joining in the fun. It is not just a place to learn and grow your child's talents, but a place to grow your child's community of support and your parent village. You will make life long friends here and will find that the owner Dru Rabin, manager Jennifer Michelle Bell, and instructors like Maddie Willett will nurture and develop your child's confidence and individual strengths in every way. This is a very special place and we are truly blessed to have taken this journey with Play, now St Pete M.A.D. Fantastic fun in every way! This is a non-competitive, but highly professional studio, where everyone has a chance to shine and be a star!

My daughter had her first theater experience here this summer and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Not only did she have a wonderful time, she came away knowing some real stagecraft, vocabulary and understanding the effort and time that goes into a role. It was her favorite camp of the summer and mine too as she left feeling empowered, uplifted and ready to do it all again as soon as possible. Thanks St. Pete MAD for nurturing my budding performer so well.

We discovered St. Pete Music, Acting and Dance last year when searching for a creative summer camp. Our daughter loved the one week Harry Potter camp and soon we enrolled in several other programs. The musical theater programs are outstanding, with professional acting, singing and dancing coaches and full scale productions in a local theater. We plan to start music lessons soon as well. We love the families we've met and are having a fantastic time. Most important -- our kids are having fun, making friends and excited to keep going!!!!!!

St Pete MAD is awesome! My daughters have been taking singing lessons from Natasha and TW for a year. They love their lessons and can’t wait to go because they make it FUN! They’ve come a long way in just a year too! My youngest has done summer camps and most recently a play there too. She couldn’t wait to go every single day. She’s made great friends and literally cant wait for the next camp or play. I highly recommend St Pete MAD!!?

My kids and I love it here! My boys are learning so much in their music lessons and their instructors are great! My daughter can't wait for her next dance class each week. I'm thoroughly impressed with everyone at St Pete MAD! The owner, Dru, and Office Manager, Jennifer, are wonderful and always willing to answer any questions or help however they can.
