My daughter has been dancing at dance designs since she was 2 years old! We absolutely love the fun, positive, encouraging and energetic staff! Always willing to to create a positive environment for all children/adults to dance! The studio is an inclusive space for people of all abilities! I always recommend them to everyone I know! They also have a very clean waiting area with chairs, and plenty of space for parents and siblings to wait/watch. Thank you dance designs!

My daughter loved to dance but was afraid to try at 11 years old, feeling she was too old to start beginner classes. Amy and her staff welcomed and encouraged her to dance. She flourished at Dance Designs and just received her BFA with a major in dance , minor in business. We love Dance Designs!

My girls have been dancing with Dance Designs since January 2019. Miss Amy and Miss Kelly welcomed us with open arms into a beautiful family they've worked so hard to create. What I love about this studio is that there's no pressure, they make sure their dancers have a positive relationship with dance. You can tell that they have such a passion for their craft and it makes such a impact on my girls! We absolutely love our Dance Fam!

This is our first year with Dance Designs, and we could not be happier! They are in constant communication with the parents, (emailing or social media) from what to expect with the winter show to costumes. Also, quick to respond when I did not know what type of shoes my daughter needed in the beginning. Ms Kara is our teacher, and she is amazing! Every week she shows up with a big smile on her face, ready to dance! My daughter, 3 1/2 , loves Ms Kara and it brings us such joy that she is excited to dance every week, albeit to the beat of her own drum! We are so thankful to be a part of the Dance Designs family!

This place absolutely destroyed my daughters confidence in dance. Ms. Kara visibly did not like her and constantly dismissed her when she wasn’t held to her standards of perfection. Mind you, she’s four years old. That woman has no business being a teacher of young children and should be ashamed of the way she treated her through every class as well as at their recital when she immediately banned her within 5 minutes for being nervous. I’m sure the audience of parents didn’t expect perfection from the four year old groups. My daughter’s only issues was being nervous and instead of inspiring a little confidence she was met with eye rolls, and was angrily send her away immediately. I constantly witnessed this absolutely shameful display of teaching, but still tried to have my daughter over come a difficult situation since she truly wanted to dance, but I instead she was just given up on. I could understand if my daughter was truly taking time from the class with disruptions, however I watched every class and saw completely normal behavior from my child met by an incredibly short fuse and dismissal from her teacher. She constantly tells me how much she loves dance and wants to go to class but every time she was there she was met by passive aggression from her teacher and yes we all picked up on the fact that Ms. Kara did not even want her to be there. I hope Ms. Kara remembers my daughter, and remembers how she gave up on a four year old girl who wanted to dance, and made her cry almost every time she came to class. I hope she remembers her cries in the audience for a half an hour as she begged me to be able to perform when we had to wait for her sister. My daughter and I will never forget that.
(The refund the director mentions in a response here are for prepaid sessions they have not yet participated in, not the ones that left long lasting scars on my child and myself. Also, my daughter walked away from me happily with the helpers at the recital, then was brought back 5 minutes by the teacher crying and telling me she wanted to be in the recital. I reiterated this to the Ms. Kara and she walked away from us saying, “no, no, no!” That is not giving her a chance at all. Parents, you’ve heard my experience and seen how the director reacts when you try to stand up for your child. The decision is yours to do business with them.)
At this point they’ve changed their response so many times I can’t keep up. They have my phone number and email, the only place they have been blocked is by the directors person Facebook, she messaged me there after blocking me from the dance designs page. Other recent review claiming the opposite of my experience have appeared on here from fake profiles. The extent this company will go to cover up the fact that my daughter wasn’t given a fair chance and admit that they were wrong is incredible to see.
Shame on them all.

We have loved Dance Designs. Our daughter loves to dance and we spent a couple years doing ballet only but she wanted to branch out to other genres. We tried a class here and fell in love with the family-like atmosphere and great teachers! They have so many different classes including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. They offer child and adult classes and out on two recitals per year. They also have a competitive company for kids who want to challenge themselves.

My son, having been exposed to dance since the age of three, really developed at Dance Designs; he started with the basics (Kinder Dance, Elementary Combo), and evolved into a great Hip Hop program. Over the course of 6 years I've seen him really improve in his stage presence and become a star performer; this is all attributed to the amazing staff and choreographers Ms. Amy has employed. The studio is clean and well organized, and her office staff is top notch! Having experienced the other studios on Cape, there is no better choice. Our family recently moved and we are sad that we haven't been able to find another studio in the same caliber. Between the great staff, guest choreographers, wonderful traveling opportunities (NYC, Disney), and amazing performances that Ms. Amy and her staff create, we are truly thankful to Dance Designs for giving our son the opportunity to experience the world of Dance!

The absolute best place on Cape for top notch dance training. Many alumni have gone on to professional careers in dance and majored in dance in college. They also nurture every student and create a warm and loving dance environment. We miss our Dance Designs family and look forward to visiting them!
