I've had an incredible experience with AVA Dance Company. This company is truly inclusive, safe, and welcoming for both new and advanced dancers. They offer a wide range of PRO-Training for NFL/NBA (development opportunities) & performance experiences, which I had the opportunity to participate in at the Commanders game. On top of that, their weekly workshops are fantastic and cater to all skill levels. Highly recommend AVA for anyone looking to grow and thrive in dance!

I’ve only taken a couple of classes with AVA Dance but so far, it’s been a really enjoyable experience!

First, it can’t be overstated how kind and welcoming the instructors are. They hype everyone up, answer questions, and provide a welcoming environment to dance. I so appreciate this! Next, and this was noted in prior reviews, you need a bit of a dance background to make the most of these classes. They are taught by pro/former pro dancers and most people in attendance appear to have some underlying dance experience. AVA’s website states classes are intermediate at baseline. I think street jazz could be the most friendly to someone who is returning to dance after a “longer” break. Lastly, folks walk around and film parts of the class and film small groups. I like this as it motivates me to perform and give it my all! Videos get posted on IG and a Google drive. All-in-all, I’m planning to return for more classes!

The Ava Dance Company community is so welcoming and fun! I started taking classes with Ava virtually during the pandemic and every instructor was so kind and professional. I highly recommend taking a class and then becoming involved in their various performance opportunities if you live in the area or love to dance and visit the DMV!
