This was my first time joining my son for the African Dance classes at this location. It was fast paced but I enjoyed the portion I could keep up with. It is a family affair so be ready to join the family as they invite you to other dance class locations. They like to hang out after class sometimes too. I think I will be doing the virtual class with them for a while until I get caught up on the dance moves.

Beautiful intentional, intergenerational community! Freedom, joy, storytelling and healing through movement at its best. In particular, their Saturday Takoma Park Moves community is awesome. Five stars!

My little goes to dance exchange for lessons with Ms. Jessica and she loves it. The studios are great and the teacher is the most patient person with a class full of toddlers to manage, which she does with a lot of love and kindness.

A big black box style space. We went for A Fresh Taste, collaboration show with Lab X. It was informative and interesting in the beginning, then turned into an audience participation improv/movement workshop of sorts that I was not interested in at all (especially because the event was not marketed that way at all). Probably won't be returning for any future performances.

Amazing dance studio that is run by a great staff who are warm and welcoming to all. Studios are beautiful and fantastic to dance in, with Marley/spring floors, and big open spaces with no columns. The main studio is a dancer's dream to dance in, huge!

All the people who work for Dance Exchange love participatory contemporary dance - dancing and fostering opportunities for everyone to be involved in dancing. This is a good thing if you like dance and like dancing! It's even more of a good thing if you like it, but don't know how to get involved - helping people in the community get involved in dancing is the reason for and business of the Dance Exchange.
