My children went here the principal is disrespectful and threatening with Dcfs Advocate for minor things to certain parents and kids. Also I caught a case here for Something that could've been resolved in a better manor! I lost my school bus permit and occupation do to this also my place to stay.
I would not recommend you to send your children here... Its nothing but trouble here and the assistant principal is just as bad they do not talk to parents about things they take it in their own hands and out of professional development.
My kids was even bullied daily and one has hearing lost nothing was done about that but they called Dcfs and police for you disciplining your child behavior

From 2003 to the class of 2012. I`m a student from the class of 2012,back then there was so much stupidity with fights,gangs,theft,and other activities.The food is FREAKING HORRIBLE!!! I RECCOMEND YOU GET YOUR OWN CHILD FOOD AS A PARENT!! Its been a few years since i saw Avalon and there so many good memories there also. Ill say this,if you send your child to this school,make sure you know a thing or 2 about the neighborhood and analyse the students.If you child becomes a negativ influence thn who fault is that....should`ve done ya homework and be on your childs behind and make sure u can pick them up from school every day.

I went here since preschool I left at 4th grade I knew everyone all the teachers knew me and my brother I loved it there the food was horrible but they probably upgraded I miss all my friends and my boyfriend but I'm doing okay at this new school

My experience in there was roaches centipedes in my friends sandwich and a black bug in my friend chocolate milk and also their food always be uncooked even the grilled cheese the cheese is cold so if you want to send your kid there then that's on you!!!!!!!!

The principal is very disrespectful, and constantly threatens with DCFS, showed no respect when talking to me, told me that the "streets "should get him, and that he was going to be killed.
