My wife and I stayed two nights at Moody’s Motel in a cabin for a friend’s wedding. We had planned to stay an extra night but we had family in Portland who offered us a bed for the night - Moody’s were super accommodating with this relatively last minute change. Our entire experience staying at Moody’s was delightful. The cabins were clean and rustic but with nice modern touches like cable TV and mini split AC/heater. Fresh towels were delivered in the morning, and the shower had great water pressure and heat.

If we’re ever up in Maine again, we’ll definitely be making a pit stop at Moody’s!

Excellent place to stay. Very comfortable beds and extremely clean. Barb greeted us at the check in spot and gave us pointers on things we needed to know. They have a binder in every room that answers questions anyone may have. Very insulated and quiet room. The back porch was ideal for morning coffee and waking up. Our son loved the swing set. The furniture was the solid wood vintage tables and chairs. Perfect for this place. Wonderful customer service.

These cottages are just as I had hoped! Straight out of my long ago childhood. The location at the top of the hill is spectacular for watching the stars at night. The lawns are green and lush. The staff is so warm and helpful.
Each cottage has a screened porch and all the mod. cons. one could want-heat pumps, HDTV, microwaves etc.
One grumpy review said that the beds were hard and the mosquitoes came into the porch. Not True! The beds were very comfortable and supportive-had the best nights' sleep in years. There were no mosquitoes on my porch.
The only thing I would improve maybe is the slant on the bathroom which meant that you had to hold your soap while showering because it wouldn't stay in the dish. Actually, quite a charming memory.

The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We had a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Our bathroom was more spacious than the last time we stayed. It was rainy. The cabin wasn't too damp. The air conditioning is new and works well. Nice cable. The diner prices are great. Gift shop and souvenir prices are high but worth it. We love MOODY'S; what a legacy and a very pleasant place for everyone. Felt very welcomed.

Rustic cabins at a great price. We needed a room on Labor Day weekend on somewhat short notice, and here was a gem that I had passed countless times growing up in Maine. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and guests get a discount at the diner and gift shop, making it an even better value.

Do NOT stay here! I am handicapped and my husband pulled up to the ramp so I could get out. This woman came up and said he needed to move. He politely said I’m just getting my wife in safely first, then he moved the car. A couple of evenings later at 6pm, we were sitting outside the cabin, listening to some music, Ann Murray so pretty mellow. This same woman came around the corner, did not introduce herself and said to stop. I said, no problem and told her to have a good night. I guess she thought I was being sarcastic? Not sure but she called me a b..ch.?. We then find out this woman is the OWNER! Unbelievably rude! Extremely unprofessional. Never again! Don’t waste your money!

Love the charm here. I think it is intended to have more of a rustic charm, which is lovely.
We were in cabin 22, which has 1 bedroom with double beds, a kitchen / living area, and 1 bathroom.
Some things could be improved in this cabin. This cabin is considered to be the biggest one but it was pretty small, especially for a family of 4. There was another part of the cabin but it was locked up.
The porch screen on the outside was broken a bit so it was nearly impossible to sit on the porch without being attacked by mosquitos.

Ruthy, the rental manager, was super helpful and nice to chat with and if you have any concerns about anything, she’ll be there to help you! Definitely don’t feel afraid to ask her.
There’s a fun swing set right outside of cabin 22.

As I arrived I spoke to the very nice front desk person - turns out she's the owner (with her husband). They have tons of tea bags in various flavors I've never seen b4 so I got a kick out of.||||So they have these great little cottages - for us, non campers we felt it was like a camping cabin - except these are hotel rooms with pinewood floors, a screened in porch which we constantly used, comfy beds, TVs, and an HVAC system that was really good. These are just so well kept - spotless. I can't believe how great they are.||||The owner, Dan, stopped by and saw us playing backgammon on the porch and wanted to ensure we were enjoying ourselves (we were).||||My only regret - we booked just one night - oops.||||If you have kids, they have a swingset and a teeter totter - you never see that anymore.||||And down below at the cafe is the best blueberry pie we had of three we tried.||||This isn't luxury - but this is super fun, clean, safe and a great environment. Definitely a great place to stay. We are very glad we did.
