Absolutely first rate service, wise advice and meticulous repairs. I enjoy John’s humor as much as his impeccably fair bills with every single nut and bolt itemized. His reputation preceded him and I was so pleased to find such a superb mechanic for my 1961 MGA 12 years ago. At one point I was attending the Transportation Museum auction at which two almost identical Alfa Romeos were on auction. One had full records from Sheps Imports the other did not. The one with the records from Sheps sold for half again as much, and a hum of excitement went around the crowd when these were mentioned by the auctioneer! He’s a man from another, gentler time.

John is a fantastic mechanic who I unhesitatingly recommend for all manner of car/small truck repair. Attention to detail, smart, honest and fair priced are just some of the words to describe the man and the service you'll receive. He works alone and has a schedule so call at the first sign of trouble, or better yet, schedule appointments periodically to keep your vehicle trouble free and driving smoothly. While he does not offer state inspections, he will inspect your vehicle prior to make sure it passes.
