Have a Generac portable generator, that had sat at camp, unused, with ethanol fuel left in the tank. Last year, when needed, it would fire but wouldn’t stay running. Over the summer we brought it home and it sat, yet again. This year, Tuesday before Thanksgiving, with a potential of power outages due to storm, I knew we had up to 30 people going to be at camp for Thanksgiving… and no operating generator. Called Hanks, who said get it over here and in less than 24 hours they had it repaired, cleaned, fully serviced, fueled and ready to go. Thanksgiving night we lost power but were able to continue the annual tradition of lighting the camp Christmas tree under generated power, thanks to the quick and efficient turnaround from Hanks and their team. Thank you!

Looked up where to go about fixing my zero turn and it recommended Hank's. I was aware they don't sell Troybuilt.. however, google said they did so I figured I would check. Went into the Newport location and spoke to a woman who said she was Craig's wife and that although they didn't sell them, they could order me the part no problem and possibly repair. She said to stop into the Hank's in Carmel and ask. When I say the guy was rude I mean rude.. basically insulting me because I even asked and in his words "a Husqvarna dealer".. ok.. so I explained what had been said and he basically told me no and that I could look up the parts and get them myself. But I can't, as I have tried. Not a place I would use or recommend, if your having a bad day fine but don't get attitude with people when YOUR WIFE told us to check with you.

Yes I'm aware of the reply but can't do anything but edit this one.. that is not what was said, you acted offended that I asked and I don't think anyone should be treated that way. There was no offer for you to look it up, you told me I could do it. The response just proves my point.

Called to find a part to fix a family members lawnmower and they had it in Newport instead of Carmel, but kept in touch and had it waiting for us when we arrived. Friendly. Highly recommend!

Had are bad experience with Craig, the owner, at Hanks Equipment 3 years ago. I went back anyway and I have bought a zero turn, chain saw and all my bars, chains, fuel, oil anything else I needed. Sent a lot of people there. Went back today to get a chain and he said it was the wrong bar and chain I told him he put it on. He then as much as called me a liar. We had words and then he called me out to the end of his property to fight me he said he would show me who the man was. I feel I’m the bigger person because I got in my truck and left. Found a great place in Brewer called Bradstreet lawn and garden very friendly and helpful.Everyone knows that word of mouth is the best advertising so I will give nothing but bad to Hanks.

Ran over dog run cable with my Ariens Snowblower. After cutting wire out, auger would not engage. Called Craig in Carmel who asked if I would also like it serviced while it's being fixed. Only $63.69 ,and it's running perfectly

Craig does an awesome job. His work is top notch he even repaired some minor things that were not on the list engine cranked first time and runs great!
