I had the privilege of attending an intimate concert at Cakewood Creative Arts, that didn’t just showcase incredible talent—it felt like stepping into a sacred space where music and emotion intertwined.

May Rav and Porter were nothing short of extraordinary. Each note carried raw, unfiltered emotion that seemed to reach into my soul and draw out feelings I didn’t even know I’d tucked away. It was a catharsis wrapped in melody. I didn't even realize that I was crying during the first song until it was almost over. It was such a release of emotions. The word beautiful doesn't do it justice.

Porter brought his own magic to the stage with a voice that was rich, warm, and perfectly compatible with May Ravs ethereal tone. His playful songwriting added a delightful charm to the performance, effortlessly shifting between tender vulnerability and wit. Together, their voices intertwined like two threads in a tapestry, creating harmonies that felt both effortless and deeply intentional.

And May Rav? Ethereal doesn’t even begin to cover it. She had an otherworldly presence, a voice that floated above the room yet settled deep into our hearts. She wasn’t just performing; she was weaving magic, leaving the audience spellbound.

It wasn’t just a concert—it was an experience, a reminder of the profound connection between music and the human spirit. If ever there was a night that could make you believe in the transcendent power of art, it was this one.

I recently attended Cakewood Creative Arts Winter Solstice Concert. I was profoundly affected by the beauty and message of this group’s performance. To attend an evening in the Cakewood Sanctuary in Waldoboro Maine is to be transported to a place of inherent peace. The magic and healing of their voices and musical compositions allowed me to center, rebalance and experience an inner calm as well as self reflect. Their art is especially needed in the world today where so many of us struggle on a daily basis to maintain a connection with our inner wisdom. What a gift it was to attend!

We attended a Cakewood Feast last night. I've never had food that has tasted so good. The chef obviously has a lifetime of high culinary experience and also is exceptionally creative with his dishes. We were served multiple entrees and homemade bread, and many, many side dishes and freshly made desserts- each a culinary delight. The table setting was magical. No electric lighting, completely candle lit! I don't want to give too much away but there was so much more to the experience of attending a Cakewood Feast. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to an night surrounded by beautiful people and magical ambiance. You will not be disappointed.
