I would only give the school a star because the teacher for my son’s kindergarten class was great. However my son got held back in kindergarten when I called to discuss this with the principal the beginning of her conversation began with, and I quote, First of all, because she missed heard the voicemail that I had left her. All I wanted was a better Explanation as to how my son failed kindergarten but I wasn’t given the opportunity to find ways to help him she seem more annoyed by the conversation with the horrible attitude then to care about a student she then stated that if the school was so bad all kindergartners would be failing. It seems like these days they’re not hiring professional individuals to teach our children they’re just picking up whatever they find on the streets and giving them a job.This is so sad considering that this is an elementary and it is the beginning of these young children’s lives in the real world and us as parents have to deal with such ignorance just because we care too much.

Have nothing good to say about this school. I have had a really bad experience with my daughter at this school and i would not recommend this school at all. My daughter had to repeat 3rd grade and asked her teacher if there was anything that could help my daughter pass and the teachers answer was NOT EVEN THE GOVERNOR OF FL COULD HELP HER PASS! ever since my daughter has been traumatized to leven that now she has to see a counselor, and a psychologist. It's just bad in all ways

My son attended Kindergarten here and it wasn't a terrible experience but definitely a little rocky... I don't feel that they let the kids really be their age. My son hardly came home with activities and didn't learn basic common sense things that kindergarten is really about. It's a lot about scores and test which is disappointing. Also the parent pick up line is absolutely ridiculous! If you don't want your kid to wait 20 + mins to be picked up you have to be in line a hour n a half early!!! I moved back to Boston but if I never left I would have kept my son in this school.

The Principal is beyond non professional. I am sad to say that Florida would have such a representative of the States public school's system over their children such as her. She is rude and and it is impossible to form a resolution with her without her getting some sort of attitude and hanging up the phone. There have been rumors about the Kindergarten Teacher hitting the children and later telling them she is sorry. The little children can barely talk at that age to tell without being scared, and the teacher was entirely young. They have seemingly employed staff who have little patience and are short of professional from my observation. The front desk clerk is phenomenal. Love her!!

This school is HORRIBLE! Yes they may be an A school but you know what The staff and teachers are VERY incompetent and negligent. I have had issues with this school since day one. You report an issue and you never get a call from the principal/assistant pricipal. When you call back you are transferred to a voicemail. How can you trust your child in a school like this. I had to remove my child from this school. I also spoke with parents in my neighborhood and was advised the same issues. I will NOT recommend this school at all unless you flat out dont care about the well being and education of your very own.

I went there for 7 years, I'm now at HMS... Most of the teachers and staff in my opinion should be helping more with the students. They are taking more time to be a good example than education.

Teachers are great but the principals and staff are horrible. They only care about the school and not at all about the individual students or there individual academic progress.
