Newburg Middle has been a fantastic school. My child received a superb education and is ready for the challenges of High school. The Principal Mrs. Adell is amazing! She was involved and passionate about the students and her teachers, and gave me security as a parent. I would highly recommend this school

I have had 2 of my 4 children attend Newburg Middle School. It has been a great experience for both. They are 2 individual kids with differents needs that have been accommodated by the school, faculty, and staff. The educators do an excellent job preparing the kids for the next step in and out of the class room. I would recommend this school to anyone.

To be honest, the content and the material learned here is of good quality, just like in any school. If a student doesn’t perform well here, that’s their complete fault. Teachers and staff always push students to succeed and yes, there is bullying here just like there is at every other school. It just depends on how you deal with the situation. I went here all three years and I remember having teachers encouraging us and motivating us to do the best for high school. For the most part, I felt really well prepared for high school and I appreciate the work and tolerance of the teachers here because all middle schoolers can be a huge mess many times. This school has great programs and fun events so I hope you can encourage your children/friends/family to go her. The band program is great. Sports are great here, And so is the hard work. Everything the teachers say is for a reason and everything taught is crucial for high school, just saying

I go to Newburg Middle School now and it is a wonderful school. They have a STEM and an AP program that is very good. I was bullied there too, but the school counselors help alot with these problems. sometimes parents will say it is a bad school because of that problem but they need to make sure there son or daughter goes to the counselors for help before its to late. I love Newburg Middle School.

I do not recommend anyone to send their children here. The teachers half do their job . And do not know how to control the class , but there is a very few amount of teachers who care about your child’s safety and learning !!!!!!!!! They have an un-fair discipline policy . School is about learning but at this school it’s about getting threw the day . But this school does have a few good things like ,robotics and the basketball team .

This school is not a school that I would not recommend sending your child to. They decide to hand out referrals left and right instead of handling the students the way they are supposed to. Instead of taking the student out of class and making them work on there class work in the hallway they decide to suspend the child making them miss even more classwork, because that is the easiest way. Also they decide to pick one student out of the class that has gotten in trouble a few times and make him or her the target. I'm not saying all the teachers there aren't capable of handling there students but a majority of them aren't. Yesterday when I went to the school to pick up my little brother I saw with my own eyes how much they actually care, and how well they have everything organized. this place is a damn joke, and so is the 6th grade dean its either time for her to retire or be put in a new position because the title that she has now does not suit her.

My daughter has been going to this school for a few months now and words cannot express how disgusted I am with the lack of discipline at the school. We have no choice but to finish the school year there as she moved here from a different state in January. This school is the true definition of a ghetto school. The kids are disrespectful and instigate fights. They sell drugs on the busses and all the school can do is suspend the kids for three days and they are right back in the classroom. The parents have to do something. The school officials have their hands tied. My daughter has been attacked several times at the school one of which earned her a visit to the emergency room. I understand this is middle school and kids are difficult to deal with at this age, but to physically assault someone and threaten to beat them every day on every social media site is the true definition of a sociopathic society there. There are several kids involved and formal charges have been filed. This school and the type of students that go here is the worst I have ever seen. Please note that I have lived in 4 different states and have children ranging from 21-15. I have lived in the ghetto and have been to private schools myself. This school is horrible! And no moms, if your kid just keeps their head down and doesn't mess with anyone they will not be spared.

Newburg Middle School gave me an experience I will never forget. This school truly teaches you how to listen and learn. I have now graduated high school and I still email my old teachers there at newburg and thank them for helping make it to where I am today. And with that I would say to any incoming 6th grade don't be afraid to learn and ask questions. Listen to your teachers and truly take what they are saying seriously. Lastly be you, believe in yourself and know that you can make it! Don't ever let anyone tell you different!

But here is a little more honesty, if you would like for your child to get bullied and no one care about it, bring them here. If you want your child to get close to death and almost make it there because there is no nurse bring them here. If you want your child to receive a 0 for an assignment but then they see their teacher allow another student to get up, run across the street to get that same homework from their mom, then come back in the school then bring them here.If you want your child to get yelled at by their principal in front of everyone down to the ground bring them here. Lastly if your child is unique in any way and you want them to stick out like a sore thumb and be cast aside (even by the teachers sometimes) then bring them here. This sounds harsh but these are the thing that I experienced and saw with my own two eyes, and sadly there was no change.

I came here for my 8th grade year and to be honest if I was given the choice to either sit in a hole or go back, I would claim my new home as a hole. Again I know this sounds harsh but its the truth and that's the sad part about it. Just look down at how many comments bellow saying that the bullying is so high, and yes there are good comments and they speak so highly of the school, but REMEMBER All that glitters is NOT gold.

Disclaimer- From the video that I saw there is a new principle and new staff. That is a great thing because a lot of the old staff was not pleasent, the old principle (Ms. E, pic above) took pride in yelling at the students and scaring them. Last thing, just be careful!
