This auto shop is my go to! I have taken my Honda there 3 times in the last 2 years and every experience has been awesome! It is nerve wracking being a woman and dealing with mechanics because I have been deceived in the past but the guys at the shop are kind, helpful and honest. My car was fully inspected and I was sent a full detailed report with pictures included showing the things that needed immediate attention as well recommendations for service in the future. Service is fast and excellent! Thank you!

Steele’s Hometown Tire no longer exists. John Steele retired and sold to Greatwater 360 Auto Care, but they left Steele’s name on the outside. It is no longer a family owned business with an excellent customer relationship, and great auto care. Greatwater 360 Auto Care is a corporation based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that buys up family owned garages around the Mid West and keeps the old names on them, hoping to keep the existing customers. But it’s a cold corporate attitude customer relationship. I was met twice in the last six months with unfriendly service and a non caring attitude. For starters, during an oil change my tires were not rotated as promised. When I mentioned that upon picking up my car, I was told I’d have to wait 3 hours to get them rotated! And the rep had no apology for not rotating them as promised. Recently I needed a battery replacement that had a limited warranty still active on it. I was told that only the manager could deal with the warranty issue and he wouldn’t be in for three days! I said I’ll pay full price and see the manager in a few days about the prorated refund. I was told it could not be done that way, and if it was handled that way it would be a real “mess”, whatever that meant? The corporate office wouldn’t allow it that way. So I said just forget the warranty prorated refund and I’ll pay for a new battery. The unfriendly rep at the front desk acted as if he didn’t care whether I purchased the battery or not.
I left them the car, as the battery would have to be ordered. Shortly upon returning home I received a phone call from Greatwater that the battery that had a total cost with installation 4 years ago from John Steele of $173.00 would now cost $380.00. I told him not to install it for that price. I went to pick up my car. as I walked in I was handed my key with no apology for not being able to help. In fact, not one word was said to me!
That same day I purchased the battery I needed at a family owned 5 star rated garage that I discovered with over 5 decades of excellent service and loyal customers. As soon as I walked in I experienced excellent and friendly customer service, the kind that I experienced with John Steele for 35 years. And the battery I wanted was $229.00, compared to $380.00 at Greatwater. Also, this garage handled my limited warranty issue that Greatwater gave me a hard time about.
I am 69 years old. I have discovered in the last 50 years that corporate retail customer relationships and the services they provide usually cannot compete with that of a family owned establishment. There are exceptions to that rule, so I gave Greatwater 360 two chances, but I chose not to attempt a third strike.

We’ve looked a couple years, since our friend retired, for an HONEST mechanic. Finding Nico and his team has meant the world to my family. We have 9 vehicles in our household, 6 of those belong to our children. To finally have a place we trust, not just with our vehicles, but our children’s, is priceless… their lives are priceless. I do not know what we’d do without Nico or Aries or Tyler. They are skilled and truly care about safety. They do not try to sell service thats not needed. We have found our place… at least for as long as Nico is in charge here. I am soooo thankful!

5/16/24 I'm dropping this to 2 stars. We live less than a mile down the street & between my boyfriend & I, we have spent thousands with them just this year (2024) alone between their two locations. On 5/8 I was quoted $250-$450 and scheduled an appt (I know, but can't think the guys name) for 5/16.
For the two years I've been coming here, all has ALWAYS been well. The prices ALWAYS SEEMED reasonable and fair. The first time I stopped in, the shop was closed, the same man who I spoke with on 5/8, helped me out by repairing my tire, inviting me back for the oil change I told him I was needing and sending me on my way. I called and made an appointment and have been a loyal customer since.
Fast Forward to 5/16/24, they call and tell me that the cost of the front brakes (otd) would be significantly more. Once I caught my breath & thought from the gasp of price difference, I convinced myself that they had always been comparable & reasonable and whatever the difference was surely justifiable. I further justified that brakes are a safety issue, my schedule is busy and the car was already there and ready.
I live less than a 3/4 down the road and they sent a young man down here to pick me up, which was very nice.
I get to the shop, stated my peace about the absurdness of the cost difference between the quote, paid, and left. I later started reviewing the mark-up on the parts and found that it was in the hundreds of dollars and one of the cheapest brakes online at Amazon.
Labor cost/hour doesn't print out on the invoice.
The truck was in the shop at the other location 3x for the same IHE and back a 4th time because the first three only fixed one of the issues.
Since John retired, it hasn't been the same at either shop. It no longer has that hometown feel and vibe. 5? to 2?.

We’ve used plenty of repair shops in the area. After buying our car used for a pretty penny from an auto dealership, we were pouring thousands into it per their warranty. Diagnostic alone was $150. This time we assumed we needed a new starter and decided to lose our warranty and took our vehicle to steeles. Not only did they get us in quickly on a Saturday, but found the problem even quicker. Didn’t try to upsell us or find a million other things wrong. They fixed what they could, did the research for us for the part they know we needed. And had us back on the road before noon, for a fraction of the cost. If that’s not service, idk what is. So thankful my neighbor recommended them. Will continue to do the same.
