The Design Barn is a one of a kind venue, we looked at so many places and as soon as we saw it we knew we wanted to get married there. From planning, to the food, our event coordinator Alex, Decor, it was all superb and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Alex our event coordinator, made our day move SO swiftly. She bent over backwards a million times to give us our dream wedding and we will always remember her being such an important part of our wedding day.

We would recommend the design barn to anyone! We look forward to using the space again in the future!

This is an amazing venue. I was invited to a going away party. This place could be used for any large gathering. Wedding, Graduation, Baby Shower and Anniversary party. It appears that the business totally understands having a large venue, food, beverage, desserts to be displayed strategically to help worth flow of guests. Plus photo op areas are everywhere inside and even outside. Plenty of parking. Easy to find. 20 minutes from Valparaiso and probably about the same distance from Crown Point. Spread the word. Great venue. Support this business.

Beautiful new event space for Northwest Indiana. I recently attended the Northwest Indiana Forum's annual event here. Great space for corporate events! Modern and unique. Service has been great and the food and drinks were equally good.

This would be a perfect place for weddings and parties. I hope there are more business events to attend as well.

Ate here with a friend of mine and everything was perfect!!!! The food was so good. We both got the blta. It's such a nice atmosphere you won't want to leave. Hillary took us on a tour of the place and she was sooo sweet!!!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Just go and check it out. I thought the food was great. Get the empanadas, best crust ever and a lot of filling too. I'll be going back. Got the Cuban and the Chipotle chicken. Fresh and you can tell. Excellent bread pudding too.
Update 5-22-23, we held a monthly meeting there. The place is still a fantastic venue. The outside is finished or at least it seems to be finished. Place looks great in and out.

This is a very large and beautiful setting for any venue. Several private party rooms upstairs. Very clean well decorated hadicap enabled restrooms. Two full bar areas with ample dance floor. When you walk in you forget you are in a pole barn and will be amazed at the well decorated interior design. Many outside covered eating areas and buildings. There were plenty of parking spots but the spots were a little tight for larger vehicles.

Excellent really enjoyed their special Teriyaki salmon done to perfection. My husband enjoyed their broccoli cheddarcheese potato soup. Nice and clean and awesome decor too, plus if you drink they have a full bar.
