From the time I walked through the door I received exemplary service. A lost art in these post covid days. I knew what I intended to spend and exactly the vehicle that I was interested in online. I had to wait on a couple of things from my bank and then the insurance company. The whole time they were patient. It was a pleasure working with the entire staff. I consider Keith, my salesman, a friend now. I definitely see why they've been in business over 40 years. The owner was even sitting at the front desk answering the phone and interacting with people. Not because he was short staffed but because that's how business is done right!

Absolutely horrible experiences here. In the past I didn’t let other peoples post sway me, we had used them for oil changes and had good experience. But boy do I wish I had listened to others. Problem 1. Transmission problem with 2020 explorer. Take it to Rays to have it fixed, great it’s covered by warranty. The car sits for MONTHS. I call and I call asking for updates and I constantly get “we are waiting for a bay to open up because this is gonna tie up a bay for a few days” ok? I ask for a timeline and they can’t give me one. It’s finally fixed MONTHS later, when I get it back the liner that goes over the sunroof in the back is messed up and hanging down. I call them and tell them. They said ok we will look at it. Before I even had time for my next oil change Problem 2. Power steering goes out. Rays said they will look at it and get it fixed. I drop it off July 11th. Month one goes by with no updates. I call and request a time line with the same line “we are waiting for a bay”. I have to call continually to get updates. I don’t hear anything from them unless I call. Finally I guess a bay opened up and they put in the new part, but this time when I call it’s “oh, we got the part out in but it’s still giving codes and we aren’t sure what they mean, so it’s not fixed.” (I’m not a mechanic but that should say that the part you replaced wasn’t the problem.) another month goes by with me calling weekly requesting updates. Finally they say, it was a bad replacement part so we are waiting on a new one. Ok. Weeks go by, me still calling “hey when is it gonna be fixed?” “can’t really give you a timeline we have to wait for a bay” more weeks. More calls. Finally new service manager, Ryan. He apologises profusely that the car hasn’t been fixed, etc. we are getting it in a bay and it should be done Wednesday. Wednesday comes and goes no call. I call that Friday, hey sorry we didn’t get it in but we are gonna get it in on Monday and should have it done Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Same thing different week. Friday rolls around I call, “I am so sorry we couldn’t get it in a bay, but I have sent this up everyone is aware your car has been here and needs to be fixed!” Telling me everyone knows, to me would include Ray Jr. but I guess not, or he doesn’t care not sure which. Anyway the day rolls around again, “the tech had a family emergency and we couldn’t get it in, but we are gonna get it fixed. They are gonna pull it in the bay first thing tomorrow morning.” Same song and dance. Finally Ryan calls me “I got bad news, we got the new part in but that still didn’t fix it. They are thinking now it’s something electrical” “ok, what’s the timeline on getting that fixed” “can’t really give you one, but we are going to get this fixed!” I’ve lost faith that my car even exists at this point. Ryan calls the next day, “great news we stayed late and found the problem. It’s fixed”

So my car sat for 4 months for something that took 8ish hours to fix? Including two parts that likely didn’t even need replaced?!?!

I ask for some type of something to be done, because at this point I’ve made 4 payments on a car I can’t drive, I’ve paid for oil changes, gas, rental, etc on car for the last 4 months, all I asked was for $0 down to pick it up. Nope. Not even a discount on labor etc. Nothing. Not even an “I’m sorry your car sat here for months untouched.” Nobody except Ryan seemed to even care. That explorer spent more of 2024 at Rays ford, on their lot NOT getting fixed, than I drove it….and that is just sad. Place is a joke, if you can’t figure out how to get vehicles fixed and off your lot, then you don’t need to be in business. RIDICULOUS. I wouldn’t recommend Ray’s Ford to my worst enemy.

Excellent service! Best car buying experience I have ever had. The sells staff was very personable and not pushy. The owner even worked to find me the exact truck I was wanting and gave me a great deal. I will not go anywhere else from now on.

Just don’t get any service there, drive somewhere else, go anywhere but here. I’m sure they work hard, but the communication is a negative 5 star experience. “I will call you back” is a commitment, live by it. Not the first time they have absolutely failed here. If you aren’t known in the community or have any standing, good luck. $250 standard service is now a $4,000 repair less than 4 days later. Something just doesn’t add up; with everything you touched having issues days later and a clean bill of health when leaving your dealership. Still no call back after two phone calls with the “I will call you back” promise.

This was my first visit to Ray’s. The staff was very courteous and provided updates throughout the process. I was even given a history of how Ray’s came to be and accompanied to my vehicle at the completion of the appointment. Job well done!

I recently purchased a 2024 Dodge Durango from Ray's Ford in Brandenburg, Kentucky. The Salesmen, David and Larry were extremely helpful and courteous. David even came in on his day off to assist us with our purchase. We have used Ray's Ford in the past for purchases and service. We have always been treated respectfully and courteous. I am sure we will be back in the future.

Do not go to for service.

1. Bought a 2007 Dodge Caliber somewhere else and then moved to Brandenburg. Called this place for service and was told they don’t do have a service department. What? Drove by later that year and yes they did…

2. Have brought in other cars since that time, namely a 2004 Jeep WJ GC inline 6, and 50% of the time they say nothing is wrong with it even though it won’t start or dies.

They always say no codes and no check engine light, even though when it was towed in and picked up, check engine light is on and doing the 3 key turn test shows multiple codes on the dash itself such as p0300, p1489, p1490, and others.

Also, the tech never noticed the radiator fan never kicked on during his “all day” diagnostic test where he left the car running to see if it would die. Who misses that?

When car is in their shop, they will promise a certain date for a callback.. it never happens. I have to call them a day or 2 after their promised time to check in and follow up to see what is wrong or going on.

I have always been nice to these people and given them the benefit of doubt, but they can not seem to get their service offering on track.

I can’t faithfully trust them to service cars my wife or daughters drive to ensure they are safe and sound
